No Joke, my big bro who DKSAB came over yesterday afternoon and i had to talk to him over 30 mins to stop him having a bet on Johnson lasting the distance.

"but he has never been stopped" was all he kept saying, he just wouldn't understand, almost the same with the Gavin fight, again i just about convinced him that there was no way Gavin was lasting 12 rounds.

His opponents have resembled punch bags, but you have to look at the stage AJ's career is at right now and what the opponent was supposed to bring before the fight.

Skelton and Sprott are the type of opponents any up and coming British/European heavyweight will fight. Bahktov had gone the distance with Ustinov, Wawrzyk and Glazkov. Zumbano Love had gone rounds with Martin and Molina.

Johnson, whilst stylistically made for AJ - will just sit on the ropes and not have AJ have to go looking for him - was supposed to be someone who may be able to roll with AJ's shots and take his power for more than three rounds.

You can't hold it against AJ if these guys bottle it, look outclassed and can't A) get out of the way of his shots, and B) can't take his power.

AJ's opponents have steadily gotten better. Unless his opponents start getting worse or he does a Wilder and fights a similar level of opponent and doesn't challenge for a world title until his 35th odd fight, then I really don't see what all the moaning is about.

People who moan about AJ's level of opposition come across as people who have never seen his opponents fight before. He is destroying people who have fared better against more seasoned opposition. I remember the days when that was seen as a good thing.

He may well be, but, considering AJ fought him in his 7th pro fight when most prospects are fighting guys with 5-30 records, it was comparatively speaking a decent opponent.

AJ's opposition, like I stated earlier, has increased since Skelton so I don't see what the problem is.

It's funny, before Johnson fought Joshua he was one of Fury's best wins.

It's funny how Fury blinded del-boy in 1 eye

That's boxing fans for you. Before the fight this or that opponent is going to be the man to shatter the illusion and "expose" the prospect and prove that he is a "fraud". After the prospect wins convincingly his opponent is shot and was a bum in his prime, anyway.

    Revisionism 1 v 0 logic.

    No he wasn't.

KJ used to be a cautious, but decent, skilled fighter. As soon as the bell for the first round rang in the Vitali fight, Johnson went into survival mode and he has never came out of it.

There really is not much difference between the KJ who fought AJ or Fury.

How is it biased? I like Fury and AJ so have no real need to favour either over the other.
