    "If the WBC is the one to determine who they think I should face then I’ll simply save myself the 3% and just fight and do what I want,” Cotto said to Fighthype. “I will do what I have to do to benefit my career and my family.”

    Not really surprising:lol::lol:

    What a ***** move

    Na

    WBC forcing their mandatory is the right thing to do

    And in that situation, Cotto vacating would be the right thing to do

    Cotto is a Quitter which is what he would do against GGG anyway. Cotto needs to just drop the belt and slither back to 154.

    I kind of like cotto but the right thing to do was to give up the belt long time ago its plain to see he is scared to fight GGG

    Cotto for me is to small but if you win the lineal belt than your fair game

    i don't think he will have the chin to knee against GGG honestly...ggg will punish him and will end in a tko/ko style so he can't possibly quit..maybe on stool before he actually takes a beating.

    This is so sad, he couldn't have pulled this off with an IBF or WBO belt.
    WBC is a joke.

    Well he is admitting that fighting Golovkin will be terrible for his career and family, at least he's honest, it's like a lion picking on a wounded antelope and reaping the bloody spoils for a while and then a tyrannosaur comes waltzing out and the lion gets the hell out of dodge.

    Is Kovalev still Stevenson's mandatory or did he give up his status?

    He actually said that? Truly disguisting.

    I had a lot of respect for him but his recent dealings in the MW have tarnished his image quite a lot. Such a pity for a fighter who used to pride in being brave and tough.
