It's illegal. With another ref, in another era where running is not rewarded, Floyd would lose by a mile.

ODLH didn't do half the illegal tactics Floyd employed, nor half the running, judges still didn't like his running vs Tito.

Oscar didn't engage with Tito those last rounds. PBF put it on Pac's ass in the 11th round.

In every era of boxing, clinching on the inside has been a tactic used. Go study history more then come back kiddo.

This... Numerous trainers also use the clench as advice to their charge when they are in trouble after taking a big shot, or when they are on the ropes.

    :|:|:|:|:|:|:| 118-110, 48-0, #1P4P, #1 The Best of Era and officially Excusequiao's Daddy

    Carl Froch: "One sided whooping"

Pac fans: "waaaaah Floyd ran and hugged"

I think Froch knows a lot more about boxing than Excusequiao fans

I blame Jack Johnson. He is the one that made 'clinching' and 'grabbing' popular. He was John Ruiz way before his time.

If I was a trainer, I'd teach my guy to headbutt a clincher. If you don't penalize for clinching, don't penalize for headbutting.

You know if it was a street fight and a guy hugged me like that, I would have suplex'd his ass. Wtf, how's that **** allowed in pro boxing!
