Would Frazier have destroyed Ali if he wasn't blind in one eye?

If Frazier was blind in 1 eye, HOW THE HELL DID HE PASS HIS PRE FIGHT PHYSICALS????, AND KEEP, MAINTAIN HIS BOXING LICENCE??, sorry i don't get it..

Doctors are certainly smart enough to figure these things out!!

Frazier beat Ali convincingly in 71 with only 1 eye, then I think it's pretty clear he would have beat Ali in 74-75 with 2 eyes..

Has anyone ever tried fighting with just 1 eye??? No peripheral vision, its hard enough fighting with 2 eyes let alone 1..

How would he be able to box if blind in one eye? Destroyed? Ha, don't make me laugh. Fraizer is lucky Ali wasn't at his best in the first fight otherwise he would've been 0-3 against him.

He did beat him in 71..

And When Frazier beat him the 2 were better and closer to their prime, than in 75..

And in the Manilla fight. Frazier might have won, but Futch pulled the cord, Ali said later he felt like he was near death in that fight..

I know he beat him, March the 8th my partners birthday.
I'm saying if Ali had more than18rds of boxing in3.5years he would have won the first fight as he won the next two.:huh Ali was 29 in1971 ,the same age as Frazier was when Foreman used him as a punchbag:vonne****

I'm sure Ali and Joe would have met between 67-70 If the US Government had not cheated Ali out of his prime years, who would have won is a 50-50 coin toss, folks have been debating it for over 40 years, and nobody still knows..

Even a small improvement in sight for the third fight, would have tipped the balance in Frazier's favor.

Frazier could not see near the end, which is why he started to get hit in the last 2 rounds. Had his eyesight been better, he would not have caught as many jabs and his sight would have lasted longer, he would likely have landed more shots early as well.

Ali, would have been the one not answering the bell... It was a razor close fight. Frazier with perfect or better vision... = Ali defeat.

Frazier would be 2-1 with Ali, not 1-2

This theory/view seems quite plausible to me, but will make some squirm uncomfortably in their seats...

An interesting question. ItÂ’s hard to tell when Frazier had issues with his eye. If you only have one good working eye, your depth perception greatly suffers.

My best guess is Frazier does a bit better in the third fight, lasting the distance, and possibly doing something dramatic late as Ali was very tired.

Ali still would have won, this is Ali here we're talking about, but it would've been a point difference in the scoring, that close.

Frazier could have got seriously hurt had he gone out for the final round. Ali was exhausted but could still time his punches and avoid Frazier's. Frazier was also exhausted but could n't see Muhammad's blows coming.

He wouldn't have destroyed him, but the balance of trilogy would have been different.

That is the crux of it, but if Frazier had better vision ( A good working eye going into this fight ), perhaps he takes fewer punches, and lands more, catching Ali late.

The 15th round could have been glorious or tragic. I think Ali's gas tank was empty.

ALI fought 18 rounds against elite fighters in 1970. Joe Frazier fought just 7 rounds of competative action in 1970 himself.

Wasn't his style built around using his left hook to steer people into his good eye

If he had 2 good eyes he wouldn't be Frazier, his style would possibly be drastically different
