And he shouldn't. Froch is almost 40 years old! And been through a lot of punishment.

It would not be a defining win for GGG.

Especially if they don't fight, then he'll really never get credit for beating him.

He'll get more credit than he got from beating any if his previous opponents. Tbf Froch didn't look very past prime in his last fight. Many modern fighters are able to compete at Froch's age.

for one, you shouldn't EVER get credit for beating someone you're 1000x better than in his worst asset and 10000000000000000x in his best assets.

froch belongs NO WHERE near the name of trip G. if we could have time travel and get a 28/29 yr old hagler then we would have a legit fight where the winner gets mad credit

He should get more credit than what Kovelov got for beating Hopkins, but sure age of Froch will be use by his detractors.

How would the Triple Duck get credit for beating Froch when Bum-love-kin won't fight him?

Cotto is running from Golovkin and is fighting Geale who was easily knocked out by Golovkin in the 3rd round by Golovkin, Pac knocked Cotto out, Margarito, Trout, etc., Cotto has zero chance against Golovkin and he knows it. Cotto will give up his title before fighting Golovkin. Golovkin would knock Froch out, easily outboxing him and he hits much harder, but Golovkin is trying to get Cotto and the rest 160 lb. fighters first. Hagler always fought at his weight at 160. SOB Ward fought as a light heavyweight as an amateur, but is afraid to fight Stevenson at 168, when asked if he would fight Kovalev, Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him. SOB Ward actually said that he would easily beat Klitschko, but never signed a contract because he knows better. SOB Ward is a legend in his own mind...............will only fight in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., he appears to be a cheat.............

Yeah, he's 47 years old and...
Why do people aways add on a couple of years when they want to point out a fighter's age? The guy is 37 and turns 38 soon, not 40 but actually even younger as the likes of Floyd and Wlad.

If they fight and he beats Froch, I'm pretty sure his haters would try to get as much credit away from him as possible even if he fights the Ring's #1 from a higher weightclass. Sure he isn't prime, but he's still a damned good fighter.
