I have Floyd ranked #9 on my ATG list, what would he need to get to top 5? Or beyond?

Pretty groundbreaking guy, first man to do an awful lot of things. And amazing longevity for the era. Won a Lineal (linear back then) at the age of 40.

I love Floyd's style and his boxing ability. And its not 100% his fault that certain fighters do not fight him or can not fight him. Different promoters, networks, etc play a part of that. But for Floyd to surpass Holmes in my view, he would need the fights that were not present for him, and that's not his fault.

Different era, different promotional strategies play a major role in boxing now-a-days and that will hurt the fighters moreso than it hurt them in yesteryears where fighters fought everyone.

But i mean who didnt floyd fight that was a realistic fight besides Margarito who turned out to be a cheat...?

Certainly not kostya tyszu who had fought mitchell in a rematch and lost to hatton...?

Not paul williams who didnt have a big name and just lost to quintana?

cotto lost to Margacheato... i mean really if you look at it floyd fought and beat everyone he should of in this era that made sense.... =s higher ranking then Holmes imo

Considering you probably started watching boxing when the Mayweather-Gatti fight happened, I'm surprised he isn't higher on your list.

Joe Calzaghe 19 spots too low, everything else is irrelevant :nod
