    Citizen Kane is actually the third best movie from that year, How Green Was My Valley was the best and The Little Foxes was second and you can make an argument that The Maltese Falcon was better as well.

    And I like The More The Merrier and Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man more than Casablanca from the year it came out.
