Agreed.This is horrible and I don't know anyone who would subscribe to this sh it channel.Ward only confirms that these idiots know nothing what they are doing.

That's the result of terrible management and promotion. No offense to Goossen and may he rest in peace, but he was simply terrible. You can have all the skills in the world(Ward is easily A class), if you don't have a good manager or promoter, no one will give a damn. It's hilarious that Broner didn't even exist when Ward was rising yet he's far more famous than Ward.

 

Won't surprise me if Ward himself is commentating too.

He's not boring in the ring. Just wish he was more active and fighting better fighters.

 

oh come on lol , hes had 1 KO in the last 6 years , none of his fights have any excitement , he is a PPV disaster , nobody is interested in the guy anymore . yes he is good at what he does i will admit that but the vast majority of fight fans are not interested in his style and would not pay to watch it .

Well, he's with Jay Z now, but at the same time, it's difficult to promote guys like him and Rigondeaux. Used to be people blaming Arum for everything, but Rigondeaux is currently in no better shape while he at least headlined 2 HBO shows under Arum.

Ward is in the same shape. New promoter but still being handed the short-end of the deal. Not sure who the hell watches BET anymore. The last time I even tuned to that channel was to watch "Soul Food"...or maybe "Why did I get Married."

 

Flavor Flav? Chuck D? Rihanna?

 

I question the choice of stations, I haven't even watched BET in God knows how long. I hope this is the beginning of him becoming at least semi-active.

 

I think the problem with Rigondeaux and Lara isn't that they are relatively boring, if elite level fighters. It's that they are Cuban. They signed their lives away to some rinky dink outfit who promised to get them out of Castro's Cuba. Now, those guys own a piece of them forever and if anybody big wants to use their talents they have to co-promote with these characters. I think they are probably a nuisance and a headache to deal with, plus they cut into a very meager bottom line. That's probably why Gamboa's career hasn't taken off either.
