i read something about footballers being discouraged from cycling. something to do with shortening the calves, if i remember correctly.
Very good move, he might actually make an impact on that division worldwide, it is a fairly weak division.
:thumbsup That was quite probably the best post I have ever read from you. Excellent and a great read.
As many have said, he should have been campaigning there from day 1. Better late than never though and hopefully he can carve out something down at 140. The talent is there with the foot work, the subtle tricks, the boxing brain etc but he's simply not big enough (puncher or in the clinches) at 147 to make it at world level. Brook to be fair, is a massive welter but many of the other big names around at 147 are strong boys. I think Frankie has matured and as he's said before, with his young family boxing is all or nothing for him. But as has been said already in this thread, he needs to get the diet sorted (assuming what we're hearing is 100% true) and get himself some top sparring.
I don't know why we are even bothering , he didn't make weight at the Olympics, has had a fat back since he was 24 and now all of a sudden he is going to train like Hopkins??? Audley 2.0
He's always been adamant he couldn't make light welter so don't see why he saying he can now and he always sang Kerry Kaye's praises so why is he asking for nutrition advice
He might be better at light welter but will never be world class as he is not good enough, plain and simple
