How do you think a prime Haggler rates HtH vs middleweight ATGs?
This guy was amazing. I think a strong case can be made for him being the best HtH middleweight ever.

He's probably in the top 3.
It's hard to imagine him losing at his absolute peak.

I am a big Hagler fan, and I agree he would do well against most previous Middleweight champs. I could see Monzon and Robinson giving him hell, though. The likes of Fullmer and Tiger would give him great fights, too.

As far as middleweights go, Haggler was a complete wrecking machine. I cant imagine any middleweight surviving him in his prime.

Over 15 he probably is able to get to Roy.

I think Robinson does him though. On points.

You might pick a couple of the very best to beat him reasonably, but nobody is a very clear favourite over him. Speaking only of the guys we have on film in some detail.

    Monzon and Robinson maybe.

Why does everybody keep throwing Monzon in the picture? He was a LHW!!

I've never once thought Monzon capable of beating Hagler.

I'd say that puts you in a rather tiny minority!

I wasn't saying it in an argumentative tone or anything, just an observation that I've had today.

When I think of the type of MW to beat Hagler I've never thought Monzon to possess the right attributes.

Only Monzon and an "on" Robinson.

I would favor Monzon over him, and it's a pick em with Robinson I'd say Hagler could beat him once and then Robinson would beat him in a rematch.

The class is so deep that Hagler's skills could be tested and maybe bested by a number of men. I could reasonably see Greb, Monzon, Walker, Robinson (not until the rematch), LaMotta, Hopkins, Jones Jr., Charles, Moore, Burley, and a number of others beating him.

Anything is possible, but honestly I see Haggler defeating them all. I think the only thing that might hinder him might be his tendency to bleed, but other than that..
