Did you think and say the same when Bradley turned down Khan for Pacquiao?. As far as I remember, literally every single Khan fan claimed Bradley is scared of Khan but wasn't scared of Pacquiao.
I'm sorry but clearly beating an undefeated, prime, 147lbs champion in their back yard is more impressive than any of wins U listed individually, especially considering Porter was supposedly a stylistic nightmare for Brook and would expose Kell's weak inside game. Also It was only an MD because of 1 very bad card from a British judge who was probably trying to avoid being labeled biased. The other 2 judges had it wide and correctly so. I take it Floyd's win over Canelo wasn't all that as it was an MD ? No, the general consensus of the boxing world is that both Brook and Mayweather won those fights clearly. Of the wins U listed from Khan, Paulie and Alexander were both taylor made for him and both have been dominated by Porter. Barrera was an absolute farce, which I shouldn't even have to go into on a boxing forum. Algieri was again taylor made and has done nothing at 147, also Khan looked **** in this fight. Judah while past his best was a good win, I don't down play this win as much as others as Zab was on a good run with a title at the time. Maidanna is a very good win considering the dangers he brought to Khan but he hasn't done as much as Porter at 147 (schooled badly by Alexander for 1) I must make it clear I'm not saying Brook has a better resume over all, he clearly does not but he has the best individual victory IMO. However this is all irrelevant to the point that Khan is refusing to fight Brook regardless of the Mayweather situation, that is pathetic.
One of the most frustrating things that I have had to fight everyone on this forum for years. Now, hopefully, this bunch of posters have had their eyes opened wide and figurative water dumped on their faces. You don't duck someone to fight someone who is better. Fighting the guy they didn't fight would be ducking the better fighter that they did fight, if anything.
Believe it or not, most(definitely not all and not even close) of these fans do have their eyes open and know that this is the case. They simply don't admit to it when the fighter they're supporting is on the receiving end. I literally remember every single Khan fan, on this site and even personally, claiming Bradley is scared of Khan but wasn't scared of Pacquiao. Even to this day I run into some that repeat this scenario but most of those are clearly clueless fools. There's a difference between being a complete close minded idiotic fanboy of certain fighters than being a fan of the actual sport. You rarely, if ever, run into fanboys that do admit their fighter is wrong and comment against him for it. Logic and reason go a long way with some clowns.
Not really, Bradley went for the money as 99% of other boxers would have. I see it for what it really is and i'm no fanboy like a lot on this forum.
Name me a few top boxers who don't creatively select their opponents to get that one big payday. They all bloody do it and even Froch, who fights everyone, was caught doing it against DeGale. This is the way it is, its all about money sometimes.
Im willing to fight mayweather !!! Every single fighter who can make 147 wants to fight mayweather ... so by your logic no fighter around that weight that COULD get a mayweather fight whould fight at the moment and if they do they should only fight bums/no contests? Rios is only being looked at cos the Khan fight aint gonna happen
i will add that Kells two defence's have been unacceptable also Jo Jo you can get away with for being mando but Gavin is/was a complete joke.
100%, not 99%. There was literally everything more for Bradley. More dangerous fight, more publicity, more money, more exposure, massive improvements to his career, far more to gain winning and little to lose in losing...etc. You might have seen it and admitted to it, but I can safely tell you that 99% of Khan fans barked "duck".
How did Froch do it against DeGale?. He fought the man that beat DeGale twice and stopped him twice. Froch is 40 years old at the moment, inactive, stripped off his title and hardly showing any interest for logical reasons. He's not really in any position to be judged with other active fighters. You might be talking about another scenario he did with DeGale that I might be forgetting or have missed altogether. If so, please enlighten me.
Percentage wise yes. In raw numbers, no. If Khan is Mayweather's very last fight, just imagine how big the fight is going to be. It's going to be a historical event and PPV numbers are going to be mega. I'm not supporting Khan here but who else does Mayweather have left? He has virtually cleaned out 147-154 and is recognised as #1 P4P. We beat Pac's drums for 6 years and he got outpointed 8-4 (if you're generous) and has gone into hiding. Who else is there, with MARKETABILITY?
Can't believe he keeps repeating 'I'm selling out arenas and fighting the big names', no you're not lol, the arenas have been half full and Collazo, Alexander and Algieri are not better and more relevant scalps than Brook since he won his title... sure they're better than Gavin and Dan but that's not the point.
If you can disagree with the judges and think it was a schooling then so can I. I did see the fight and I did not see any schooling there. It was a close fight. A schooling is when you are sure if both the boxers meet 10 times, the result is going to be the same. Are you going to say that brooks will win porter if they fight 10 times? No other possible outcome? It was a close fight and just becuase brook had a good day dosn't mean his career is better than what Khan has achieved so far . Anways, as a Champ, brook should quit calling out contenders and start looking at possible good fights instead of fighting Gavin and Jo jo And you know what, I'm not even a Khan fan, just that I hate Brook calling him out and fights the bums because Khan ducked him. If Khan ducked him so what, move on, He is a belt holder for god sake. When was the last time a champ called out a contender? ****ing disgrace to the belt.
Mayweather can give Khan this same line that Khan gave Brook. IMO Khan has a good chance at being competitive with Mayweather BUT it's hard to see what the potential Mayweather vs Khan fight does for Mayweather.
