The 90's MW's like Nunn, Toney, G-Man, RJJ would all be great fights for Marv.

Greb would out work him and win a decision. Monzon would be interesting because of Marvin's great chin could take Carlos's hardest shots.

Saw Hagler train on Cape Cod in his prime. He was like Marciano...he would eventually cut himself off from the outside world...and in the gym...he would work his ass off. Wearing heavy boots...Hagler would run for miles in the deep sand dunes on the Cape. When he was at his best...put Marvin in with anyone...

Agreed. How good of a fight would Hopkins vs prime Hagler be?

Hopkins in My opinion would have been a harder fight for Hagler Than Monzon, Hops was naturally bigger, knows every trick in the book, and had a chin of steel, and With the exception of the Calzaghe match he always seem to rise to the occasion in BIG fights..

Didn't Monzon fight his entire career at 160?

Hopkins was the Light Heavyweight, he was much naturally bigger than Monzon..

True, Hagler would take Monzon's best shots, but I don't think Carlos would be trying to clock Marvin a lot. He'd beat him through more frustrating, clever means than that.

I think it would have made for an interesting fight. Not sure who I'd pick. I'm guessing that Hagler would be most people's favorite though.

used to think that Monzon-Hager was a tossup, but Hagler's psyche would hurt him against Monzon, losing a close decision.

Give Harry Greb a month to rest and TRAIN and he would make Hagler seem he was fighting in quicksand...Greb was at his best impossible to hit solidly
and his offense was his defense. His voluminous punches came from all angles
and as one opponent wrote after being beaten badly by Harry, "it seemed the ceiling opened up and released cascades of gloves down on my head"..
Not for nothing was Harry Greb never been stopped in his last 280 or so bouts. Hagler was great for HIS times... Harry Greb was greater for ALL times...

How would Michael Nunn have done against Hagler?

has anyone honestly ever seen Greb fight? His record seems second to Nunn (get it?) however, he waws beat twice by the same black southpaw (no excuses now! The man was in his 20s)

I see Hagler ducking under Monzon's slow drifting right and planting hard hooks to both sides of the ribs until,,, CRAAAAACKKKK!

    game over!

Monzon would win in a boring and easy fight. Hagler would struggle mightily to get inside Monzon's jab and even when he did Monzon can take Hagler's best punches

It would look exactly like the 2nd Bennie Briscoe fight
