“I’m interested in beating a guy up – the same guy that beat up [Andre] Dirrell.”

“There’s a few things that would need to fall into place,” IBF President Darryl Peoples said. “But, given what he’s accomplished, we would give Bernard due consideration if he petitioned to be reclassified as a super-middleweight."

How do you rate this fight and predict the outcome?

Degale decision, but B-HOP gives him some trouble. Something like 116-112 for Degale.

Holy ****. This is actually a guy that the ancient BHop could still beat. What an awful fight to watch it would be. But, it may be a smart move for Degale since he will most likely lose to whoever he fights next. (At least if he loses to Bernard, it was to a Hall of Famer.)

BHop wins in a close fight, making the Kovalev shutout all the more relevant.:deal

Degale will win a very wide points decision. Hopkins was a great fighter but has nothing to trouble any of the top current fighters in my opinion.

A least I'm honest about it, but I'm being serious Hopkins doesn't have a great style for DeGale, I'm a huge fan of Chunky, but the Dirrell fight without the KD's was a draw and the Groves match should have been as well. Hopkins is still just crafty enough to make another young buck look less than dynamite.

Old man Hopkins should just retire

As Mancini said, "I wouldn't walk across the street to watch this guy fight"

    Degale probably beats him anyway

Agreed, except I think it will be decisive.

Hopkins does not need to keep fighting! Sure it's his life but considering everything else he has going for him, why?

Sorry: I really have no opinion on this fight...

Shhh I agree, but I didn't feel like arguing with anybody that much today so I said close to avoid any crazed Brit****s attacking me.:yep

Am I the only person in the world who likes watching both these guys?

    DeGale 117-111 or 116-112.

Hopkins is talking about Froch probably, since Froch also "beat up" Dirrell.

If BHop vs Degale does happen, I can see Hopkins teaching Degale a lesson filled with dirty tricks and old school infighting.

Unlike Kovalev, DeGale has the confidence in his own chin to walk Hopkins down and blast him out. Fight won't happen tho, DeGale has bigger fish to fry
