Not really a double standard when Khan is the one who has been trying to convince people to view him in a certain light beyond his actual worth. Danny Garcia has been talking no **** and calling out no one. He at least seems realistic about where his skills and career are at right now, in a sense. Khan's victory over Algieri will be ever so slightly greater than a similar close victory by Garcia over Paulie. I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that. At least Paulie has won a single round at WW going into the fight. Algieri was unable to say the same going into the Khan fight. So to back up claims of double standards I would want more clarification of what/who you are citing in the first place and what their claims have been.
What double standards? Since when do Khan and Garcia's fans have some big rivalry like Floyd and Manny, where everything they do gets compared? Khan lost to Garcia and now he's about to lose again, this time in more dominant (if not brutal) fashion, after almost losing to Algieri.
Garcia goes toe to toe with KO artists and wins, Garcia doesn't continually bleat about Mayweather, Garcia doesn't repeatedly get wobbled or KOd, Garcia doesn't blame his trainers for every bad performance....I could go on. There is more than one reason Khan is derided on this forum, in fact there is a list as long as your arm.
1. Khan is the who brought up this whole "he hasn't fought anybody" thing whenever Brook is brought up 2. Garcia's opposition since the Khan fight has been much better than Khan's since the Garcia fight.
I make fun of Khan and Swift. They are both shot. I said after the Lucas fight that he ruined Danny Boy, and Swift has not gotten close to a puncher since. Now he fighter a feather fisted Paulie. Absolute joke it is.
What does Khan have to do with Garcia?. Every Khan fan seems to think that Khan is Garcia's ex wife after their fight.
