Burns is fighting at Light welter now isn't he?

In terms of ability Luke Campbell should be top but I understand he hasn't proved himself yet. I'd put him in for a world title now and expect him to win.

 

I'd love to see Crolla & Flanagan both win then have a Manc Derby unification fight. That would be huge!

 

If it wasn't for all the abc titles we'd be seeing those fellas fighting each other in big British title fights.

 

1. Campbell (although Eddie Hearn will not put him in a British, Euro/ fringe World contender at this stage I actually think he is the best Brit at lightweight and fully expect him to claim world honours in try next 12-18 months).

2. Flanagan
3. Mitchell
4. Crolla
5. Matthews
6. Cardle
7. Coyle

I'm not sure whether Burns will return it lightweight so I've left him out for now but probably put him in or around the same level as Mitchell.

 

is Campbell back in training after his dads health concerns?

Mitchell might have a few decent fights in him yet. He's just shy of world level but normally beats up the guys below that bracket and despite his hard living years a few awhile back he is still only 30.

I don't know much about Flanagan - seems to have a bit of a strange record.

Crolla top bloke but I don't think hes world class - I had him loosing to Rees.

Matthews always has a punchers chance but hes been around for ages now and hes another one I cant see going all the way

Cardle is building well
Coyle is a fun fighter to watch but never a world beater

 

I don't want to sound like a hater but I really have my doubts about Luke Campbell.

I have no evidence to prove or back it up, but something inside me tells me when the going gets tough like it did for Mitchell on Saturday he wont be able to hang with the tough South American types like Linares.

 

Mitchell is class but gets very careless and ragged, those shots linares was catching him with late in the fight were really taking there toll, he can come again but he needs to stick to a game plan the whole fight, he just loves getting into a tearup and that played right into linares hands. Mitchell really can box beautifully at times, doing it for 12 rounds and staying composed seem to be his problem.

Burns also has looked absolute class in the past but recently he's not looked the same, I noticed he can be bullied against the ropes a lot and I don't know why he lets that happen?

Crolla looks great at british level but I've not been sold on him like others have, I hope he can go on to win a title after that tragic incident.

 

Campbell's head and shoulders above the rest and although i can understand why its happening this coyle fight is a total waste of time

 

Mitchell really worrys me after seeing him on last nights Ringside , slurred speach muddled words and getting worse with every fight , i wish one of thoose closest to him would be cruel to be kind and tell him enoughs enough before he ends up really punch drunk

 

Agree it looks like he has the ability, but, if the ranking is based on 'looks good against the opposition he has faced but yet to be tested' then AJ would be the No1 Heavyweight.

Don't think Flanagan has been tested at the same level as others yet.
