The headbutt was early, he roughed him up and legitimately hurt him in the 10th. You can't claim it was the headbutt that didn't seem to effect him the whole match, it was Guerrero's aggression and punches that effected him. I like Thurman a lot but he doesn't seem to have the sturdiest chin.
No he didn't, he lost 120-107, 118-109, and 118-108. Never hurt Thurman and Leonard Bundu had him backpeddling for 10 rounds. Biggest challenge for Thurman in that fight was the egg he grew on his head from a headclash.
