With Pac and May past us we're now sitting in a transitional phase where new blood is entering the sport. Several weeks ago a thread was bumped from 2010 which asked us to predict who would be the p4p king in 5 years time. Mayweathers name came up once in a long thread IRC, but it isn't that surprising that with his talent that he is still far and away the best in the sport today imo- even if it might have been back then. Hindsight I suppose.

We can safely write off Mayweather as p4p #1 in the next few years, so who will take his long held throne?

I'm going to make the call of Beterbiev or Brook myself. As an Irishman I'd also love to see Frampton rise to within the top 5 but I'm not sure.

    Who you got?

I think he will come out of Crawford, Gonzalez and Lomachenko.

Will be one of the younger ones in the actual p2p ratings most of the top ten are already one or two year away of retirement.

Yep. That's what makes it an interesting call. The current top 10 is long established and old, and we have a lot of up and coming young talent ready to fight for their place.

Either GGG if he steps up and fight elite competition or Crawford.

In 5 years? Inoue or Loma will be the best in the world. Roman would be a good choice but he's 27 and fighting at 112. I think he'll end up moving all the way up to 118 but guys age faster in those divisions as speed is critical and tends to be the first thing to go.
