Would he be the first ever <135 fighter to hold the throne?

    Could happen, he's currently p4p #2 imo.

It's extremely hard for a HW to make the p4p list let alone become p4p number 1 since there's no weight classes to jump to fight bigger men.

Fury would have to rule the HW division for the next 10 years and be completely dominate if he wants to become p4p number 1.

I'm sure he will rule the heavyweight division for at least a decade

Well that's why I said "best in the world" and not "P4P #1" because I doubt either will be recognized as such. But in my mind, it's very unlikely there will be a better fighter than Inoue or Loma in 5 years. I'm very interested to see what Roman looks like post-30.

I reckon Roman has a chance to be the first. :good

Don't know why his name didn't spring to mind straight away.

That's because Mayweather has been too dominant.

Depends on the ranking system you prefer (I dislike them all equally) but Ring has never had Wlad finish a year in the top 5 P4P, so nothing to do with Mayweather

    He's a beast :good

I think he'll be #1 within the next 5 years for sure. I just worry he may have slowed down a tad "in 5 years". We shall see! :thumbsup

One of Crawford, Inoue, GGG, Verdejo or Alvarez. Alvarez and Crawford are probably the best pick though.

Gonzalez until he retires or (if he) loses to Inoue, itll be Inoue. Ward should be number 2 right now if he kept fighting. Should be 2/3 by the end of 2016 so he could also be in line for p4p #1
