After the beating Maidana gave Floyd, it's no wonder he ran from Margarito

Maidana = slow and crude, on paper, Floyd was supposed to clown him.

Floyd fans' argument for Floyd vs Margo? Margo is too slow and crude. :rofl

Margo = bigger, better chin, better stamina than Maidana, can cut off the ring.

Floyd can't punch, he's in for a loooong night.

Dude I'll never forget pacs remarks after that fight. Margarito is a tough SOB and Pac said himself how hard the fight was and that it was a miracle he got out of the 4th Rd. Mayweather Margarito would have been real interesting

I don't think Mayweather was ever too fond of fighting Margarito. At the end of the day though, it doesn't matter. Three things matter to boxers; money, health, and legacy. Mayweather is way out in front of Margarito in all three categories. Margarito doesn't even have the respect of being an honorable competitor with the hand wrapping fiasco. He retired as a broken down, disgraced cheater.

He only has a sliver of relevance because of Floyd; as is name is only brought up by desperate Mayweather haters grasping at any morsel they can get their hands on that they believe will denigrate a guy who has been on top for years.

Only in this era does money take precedent over legacy thats why Floyd was avoiding guys like Maragrito for guys like Baldimor and Maidana two of which did nothing for his legacy opponent wise !

And it's because of people like Floyd that the sport suffers from compelling match ups .Because they all want to follow his cherry picking formula .

Good for him and all the money he made but most of his fights will soon be forgotten becase of his safety money approach !

You have to learn how to actually read what people write and think logically. I said three things matter to boxers; money, health and, LEGACY. I also said that Mayweather is well ahead of Margarito in all three categories which would include LEGACY. No matter how you judge fighters, Mayweather comes out well ahead of Margarito.

You can continue parroting about Mayweather being a cherry picker all you want, but that's not going to change the fact that he's an 11 time champion over 5 weight classes, that he's beaten over 20 world champions, that he's been a p4p fighter since 98 and that he will go down as one of the best that ever stepped in the ring. If he did nothing but cherry pick to achieve all of that, then more power to him. No matter how you try to slice it, Mayweather wins. When you see these ATG lists come out, you won't see anyone from Mayweather's era ranked ahead of him.

I was so mad this fight never took place in 2006. I'm hard on floyd. But after the handwrap scandal, I'm glad margarito never got the payday or opportunity. That guy doesn't deserve nice things.

Your trying to spit logic here really .. Ok than tell me why then with all those accolades he chose to fight guys like Judah and Baldimor over guys like Margarito ?

I mean all those world champions he fought why not fight one of the most credible threats at the time ? I mean he was also a former world champ ? Was offered pretty good Money for it and was a straight forward plodder ? JAnd called him out .

    Just what he loves ?

And I'm so glad you discuss a fighters wealth I never knew as fans that's what we cared about ,I'm happy he is healthy and his legacy will be better than allot of people but no one is questioning that what I do question with all the hype fans such as yourself give him why didn't he truly challenge himself to greatness like his predecessors ?

I mean Mosley's career is resurrected with his win over him than Mosley becomes the 9th or 10th titlist or champion on Floyd's resume ..Why couldn't a guy who says he dominated for 19 yrs not take on a guy who was worthy of a fight around that time over guys like the previous mentioned ? Let me hear your logic on that .
