It's impossible for the heavyweight division to be that bad while the Cruiserweight division is that good, otherwise more cruisererweights would move up for the bigger, easier paydays. Historically, most top, world level heavyweights were cruisererweight sized and routinely beat bigger heavyweights. Wheres the motive to stay? I doubt they hate money enough to stay in a tougher division if the pickings in the most prestigious one right above are that slim. Particularly when many cruisers rehydrate into full-size heavyweights as it is.
I'm not in this sport to just follow one person or follow belts. Stiverne Arreola II was more entertaining than any Klitschko fight. Its impossible for the division to get any worse than jab-hold , jab -foul. Rince and repeat.
You fail to realize that nobody acknowledged Johnson as the champ and demanded Jeffries come out of retirement until he eventually did. Burns was a bum. Jeffries was the man , not him.
People watch heavyweights because of the way they traditionally come to fight to deliver big knockouts. With all due respect to the Klit bros, they are seen as atypical heavyweights. People dont want to see big guys step in the ring to engage in a chess match over unfit challengers. Joshua and Deontay Wilder are the only two guys that have the style to put the division back on the map. They have Klit bro's range but unlike them they are aggressive and they try create openings with agression as oppose to cautiously protecting their chin first and foremost before initiating anything. Whether its Wilder or Joshua. Either one will be the ideal heavyweight
Yes for the simple fact that Povetkin is the best non Klitschko since the mid to early 2000s when we had Sanders Rahman Byrd Tua etc
Your post is factually inaccurate. Vitali was a sick fighter, he went in the ring to knock people the **** out and usually always succeeded unless he was injured which happened on 3 occasions. He has the best KO % of any HW champion in history. You are confusing the two brothers as the same and they are not.atsch Watch Vitali and/or look at his record and edit your post.
Arreola-Harper was also entertaining :rofl so you'd rather watch C-level guys like Harper and Arreola than watch A-level HW's like Wlad dominate the division because they traded punches like drunken sailors in port on a Saturday night out on the local town, I get it :yep
I think the division hasnt been as bad as ppl have made it seem. The problem is that none of the top 15 fighters face each other. Just look at how wilder got the title
People demanded Jeff to come out of retirement because they didnt want a black champion. This should be an wasy question for you since you're so sure of yourself. If Johnson wasnt acknowledged as champion as you've claimed, than why were there so many riots when he beat Burns? I think you need to look up some newspaper accounts from that time and educate yourself before continuing this discussion because honestly, you have no idea what you're talking about.
You're gone way off course now. Im aware of Johnson's career. I was disputing todays HW era , i don't know why you keep talking about Tommy Burns.
You're a half wit. You brought up Johnson trying to (falsly) claim he wasnt acknowledged as champion till the Jeffries fight. You're wrong and its easily proved if you do just the tiniest bit of research. Now you're trying to backtrack and say Ive gone way off course. LMAO.....GTFOH!!
It has certainly gotten more interesting as Wlad comes near the end and we can envision several interesting match-ups for his last fights as well as after he retires.
