After the beating Maidana gave Floyd, it's no wonder he ran from Margarito

There is credence to the logic that Margarito would've troubled Mayweather, how much is a good question, he was relentless at pressuring, could cut the ring off and he would've had a massive weight advantage, these things are probably the only things that trouble floyd.

Paul Williams called Floyd out, Margarito called Floyd out, but Floyd picked Baldomir, a plodding bum.

Floyd on the ropes against Margarito trying to shoulder roll and lean would have been interesting.

Floyd would have been 10 years younger. I don't feel I need to elaborate on that.

Baldo was the lineal champ and paid the same amount of coin. I'm sure you know of the TR/De la Hoya contract dispute which prevented the Margarito fight from happening and ultimately lead to the split between Bob and Floyd.

No one wanted a piece of Paul at that time. He was worthy, no doubt.

Exactly abuffy Manny said after the fight it was the hardest fight he'd ever had. Have you ever seen that documentary "Manny" ?? in that you'll see him double up in pain & practically collapse after the fight. He said Margarito hit him harder than anyone he'd ever fought. I guess the Margarito haters will claim he had loaded gloves for that fight too ROFL
Floyd was scared silly of Margarito just watch that video of Margarito confronting him I heard from a friend that was at that show that Floyd needed clean underwearafter that meeting.
He was terrified his big goons had wandered off he was alone

Ironically, after Judah lost to Baldy, Mayweather offered Margo a fight. However, Margo had a fight coming up and Arum didn't want to take him off the regard. Regardless, it doesn't matter that Maywether didn't fight Margo. He fought plenty of other better fighters, including 3 guys that won lopsided fights against Margo. Again, I don't think Mayweather had much interest in fighting Margo, but it's not like Margo is going down as a great fighter or anything.

He got offered the same amount of money to fight Baldo who was actually the recognized champion. I'm telling you, only big time Mayweather critics are stuck on Margarito. Margarito has no sort of positive legacy in this sport. Most people aren't going to care that they didn't fight, just like most people don't care that Leonard and Cuevas never fought, and Cuevas has a much better legacy than Margarito.

But he has challenged himself. I'm not sure why you are choosing to ignore reality. You don't win all of those titles through that many weight classes, beat all of those world champions and stay ranked as on of the top fighters in the sport for 20 years without challenging yourself. Why is Margo a challenge, but not Pacquiao, Mosley, and Cotto? All three of those guys beat the hell out of Margarito. Why was fighting a seasoned champion in Hernandez not a challenge when Floyd had only been a pro for less than two years and was only 21? Why is Diego Corrales not a challenge, or Castillo, or Hatton, or Alvarez?

Why does Mayweather have to fight every flavor of the month that comes around? I'll say it again, I don't think Mayweather wanted to fight Margo. My point isn't that Margo wasn't a worthy challenger, my point is that Mayweather has fought plenty of worthy of challengers, many who were better than Margo. How do you just ignore the rest of his career and focus on one guy who won't even go down as a great fighter?

He fought Baldomir for far less $$$$ & stunk out the place people were walking out by the 8 th round. But to Floyd having that happen was better than getting beaten like4 red headed stepchild by Tony Margarito Floyd was:scaredas::scaredas:

Paul Williams called out Floyd after he fought Baldo. Paul Williams was still an undercard fighter when Mayweather and Baldomir fought.

It's not as simple as 'they didn't fight, so he was AFRAID', read what other people are saying.
