No shame in a fighter quitting when he is taking an absolute beating, sure, there's other fighters who can persevere and find a way to either stick it out or go out on their shield, but that shouldn't reflect heinously on those who bow out after putting up a valiant effort, more than 95% of others couldn't even dream of mustering up or even stepping between those ropes, I just cannot believe some keyboard tough guys think that they have the authority to call someone a quitter, it's bizarre. If you've been shot in the back or been beaten to a pulp, but gave two of them a black eye anyway then fair enough or if you're a seasoned fighter who has experience of taking twelve round hammerings, again, fair enough, but to call Cotto a ***** for quitting, it's just ridiculous. Plus Margarito was loading his gloves by all accounts.

 

Never judge anyone with a (pre-Mosley) Margarito fight. Cotto deserve props for going the distance with a cheater. I do hope he loses tonight though so his ducking of GGG will be punished. Although I don't think that's very likely after seeing Geale at the weigh in.

My natural weight is 205, I fight at 175. I KNOW the pains of weight loss, once you reach the critical point and just can't lose anymore, you haven't had a proper meal in a week and there are still 3 pounds to go.
