If Cotto is shot, it's scary to think how good he was in his prime

    People have been saying Cotto is shot for years. He doesn't look it to me. He's looked really sharp his last few outings. I can't wait for Cotto vs Canelo. That's a fight no fan will want to miss.

    Geale is still a solid fighter and Cotto went right through him. He looks really good out there.

    Geale is solid relative to the rest of MW which is bad.

    Trout is not elite, but he doesn't suck either. He did beat Cotto, and he gave Alvarez a good fight. That was also right after the Mayweather fight. Not everyone has the laser sharp focus that Mayweather does. It's not surprising that a guy would be in a huge fight with a guy like Mayweather and then take the next guy lightly.

    MW is not a bad division. There are some good fighters there. I think a lot of people only have to rankings for fighters, HOF caliber and garbage. There is a lot in between.

    Other than Golovkin and Cotto the division isn't particularly strong. I'm not saying Geale is garbage but he might be the 3rd best fighter in the division...can't think of too many other divisions where the third best fighter is only as good as Geale.

    Lee, Quillin, and Jacobs are all better than Gaele.

    Maybe but not significantly. I could make the same statement about either of those 3.

    They would all be betting favorites over Gaele. Gaele lost to Darren Barker.

    He isn't shot. This Cotto shot talk started because he took a savage beating from a cheating Margarito and then shortly after he took another beatdown from Pacquiao.

    Like I said before on this board. Getting pummeled doesn't make you shot.
