blah blah blah, Geale is a c- fighter from Australia who's never beaten anybody solid, Cotto is a 5'7-5'8 fighter who's not a real middleweight and wouldn't even beat a guy like Quillian. Cotto maybe overconfident from his last 3 meaningless victories and he will fight a guy like Alvarez or Golovkin and lose next. Cotto wouldn't even have knocked Tim Bradley out and probably would have lost a decision. If Cotto was smart he'd call out welterweights and try to make some catchweight fights @ around 151, because the middleweight thing is about to come to an end. He wouldn't win a round against Lara. Cotto is short, flat footed, with slow feet, not a good thing when your already undersized at any weight class.
and he drained geale down zombieville. cotto is smoke and mirrors, he is a businessman who is doing a great job fooling the public into thinking he is something special at middleweight. he is building up hype and he is gonna get big money once he fights canelo, smart moves but he is not fooling me. canelo will dominate him at 155.
Not even remotely, he's a decent boxer, but dangerous no one said that, you GGG detractors love to reach as far as you can no matter how delusional you look.
Im not a GGG hater, Im just saying that Geale was viewed as a much better opponent for GGG than Cotto. Yes the catchweight has something to do with it, but Cotto was out of the ring for a year. He's gonna fight Canelo is a superfight next, give him a break.
The sheer irony of a twit like you calling someone an idiot ! 160 is the upper limit of the MW division. (There is no division that maxes out at 157) Given that Geale was not permitted to weigh in at 160 (part of the middleweight division) he was not properly allowed to fight at middleweight. (By your reasoning, if the catchweight had been 155, it would still have been a middleweight bout.) Rather he was compelled to fight midway between MW and Jnr MW. That's the reason it was called a catchweight, oh genius ! This content is protected
