    A couple. Not all, certainly.

    The same with Glencoffe Johnson.

Great post!!! Don't forget Schmeling Sharkey 2 was in NY! Long history of bad deciscions. Beware Wlad if you fight Jennings in NY. Weaver vs Holmes what a fight!

He did fight Ibrigamov in NY in a wipeout stinker and has not fought in the US since.
And yes weaver was a great late round fighter! He knew after that Holmes fight he belonged some guys need that confidence booster

Dubblechin, great post but 2 points I want to make. Your reference to the Patterson-Ellis fight. I too included that in an earlier post of my own and yes, Ellis was beaten up (a broken nose). However, Dundee didn't have him sitting out healing. They actually had 3 fights go belly up in that time. There was Ellis-Cooper, Ellis-Peralta and Ellis-Cleroux which failed to materialize before he fought Frazier.

The second point is that of your last paragraph about Harold Valan changing the course of history. Well, moreso than one would think. Let's talk about the Ernie Terrell-Chuck Wepner fight. I still have my Ring mag on this fight and how bad the decision smelled. Ring scored it 9-3 Terrell. Valan scores it 7-5 for Wepner. But let's not stop at including that fight in this list. Wepner breaks into the ratings on the back of that fight and stays in the ratings by beating up and comers and no hopers. And lo and behold stays there long enough at #10 in the ratings to be granted a magical title shot by an Ali needing an easy defense. But let's not stop there. Remember a young Sly Stallone is in the audience and gets inspired to write Rocky with about five sequels. All that on account of some bad scoring by Harold Valan.

I've been watching Oquendo fights as painful as they are to view this guy may be the most robbed fighter in history. He defeated McCall, Mormeck, Toney, Byrd, and I thought Holyfield although it was close. I thought Chagaev defeated him by a point.
Even his stoppages were premature although he was hurt by Tua. He had won every round I think you try and let him survive or at least fall down first.
I thought the Ruiz stoppage was terrible as well.

Chagaev won IMO as well. Byrd and Toney were def robberies. Toney won 4 rounds. Byrd 5. Mormeck lost IMO opinion as well. McCall I'm only going on reports have not seen that fight.
Watch the stoppages against Tua and Ruiz too. Talk about a quick trigger. Especially the Ruiz fight. Tua fight he was hurt but he was dominating the fight I think it should of went on.
Here's Ruiz fight go to 49 minute and 40 seconds

Oquendo gets a lot of flack and his style is boring. Real spoilerish like Jimmy Young but man talk about a career of bad calls.

Since no one alive has seen the complete Louis v Walcott fight, I don't see how they can form so a certain an opinion of it as to call it a robbery ?:huh

Good stuff on Tua I'll check that fight out. He def got away with some iffy refs.
Yes that's the problem with Oquendo, he doesn't "go for it" and that lazy style does him no favors. Ettiene is his best official win. But his resume would be so much improved if he got the rightful nods over Toney, Byrd and to a lesser extent Holyfield.

Andrew Golota vs. John Ruiz wasn't any robbery.

Golota just scored one knock down - not multiple.

The second was Golota throwing Ruiz to the canvas and hitting him to the back of the head while he was down.

Both fighters were utterly useless that night. The decision could have went to either man.
