Is this the same Calzaghe whose Dad pleaded with him to fight Lacey (after Joe was trying to pull out)?

Joe is all smoke and mirrors. Love to play it off that he is uber-confident, when in reality he doubts himself hugely.

Besides, what fighter tests themselves in the later years of their career against fighters who are years past their prime?

I'm not a Calzaghe fan or Hattons, but can see their respective qualities.

Joe cal won a British title too, and made at least a dozen defences of it if I recall correctly.

its obviously a weak resume. it reads like a euro champs resume, although the win over Kessler was suprising if you don't know that jkessler was injured, and joe was at home with his cheating ref in case it went wrong.

After Joe's book was published, Jones picked up a handful of half decent wins and fair play to Joe, he went and got himself a huge retirement payday. He would never have received a purse like that against a Pavlik, Dawson or Froch. He woild have beaten all 3 and then another name would have been thrown into the hat. Haters
