Seems like it's getting worse by the year. Dawson, Geale, Tor, etc etc etc.

This kind of stuff really ticks me off.

Past "quit" jobs by boxing fans- Duran/Arguello etc.

As long as these fighters tried, then that's all we can ask of them. Sometimes it's better to throw in the towel and fight another day. Not take unnecessary punishment and risk turning into a vegetable. :patsch

These guys have lives outside of boxing, families back home, sons and daughters waiting for their daddies to come home.

If the guys feel like they have absolutely 0 chance in winning the fight and that any more may turn them into vegetables, then it's fine.

Did you guys not see the punishment Dawson and Geale were taking? It was immense. Those shots would bludgeon the normal man. :patsch

  2. Society wants to see death. It's not enough that we see it for fake in our entertainment like movies and Games, but I really believe people want to see people get beat into the hospital or death.
As intelligent as we believe we are as a species we are really animalistic by nature and it always beats logic.

    It's quite sad.

People just don't realize there's life outside boxing.

Very true. If you have ever done a bit of sparring or fought you know getting hit hard and shook up is a very nasty feeling. And that's from amateur boxers who hit like girls compared to pro's and for only 9 minutes.
The average man would be dead taking that sort of punishment, that's why you have to be in supreme shape mentally and physically.

That's why refs need to save the fighter sometimes like kovalev vs pascal. Only this year...

Completely agree, if it's an obvious throwing of the fight situation then it most certainly deserves criticism but when we see all kinds of punishment a man is taking and you have rabid arm chair fans saying he should've fought on it disgusts me. These cowards probably don't even have the guts to get into a fight at all let alone get beat down by a professional fighter...these fans are a truly pathetic stain to think they know when another man has had enough, and it's somehow never enough in their infinite wisdom..

You've made tons of threads on Vitali quitting against Byrd, brit****.

    Terrible thread.

Don't remember making any of these, maybe TKO6 threads because TKO6 = fact.

But do refresh my memory, I could have made them but it was a long time ago.

If they don't want to be fighters then don't fight and quit while accepting fans money. If ya going to quit like a biitch then don't fight and get another job.

As right as any other guy, it's his choice. I certainly don't blame him looking back.

I could have said something differently in the past, but this is how I feel now.

There's a difference between quitting like a biitch and protecting your life though.
I hope you're not saying you'd rather someone be a vegetable than quit when they know there's something wrong.

The only difference is with vitali he could won the fight with one arm. A very featherfisted Smw who never goes on his front foot, and was never going to hurt vitali. 4 rounds left? Vitali could have used his right hand as his lead hand.
But if you look at it this way, if your shoulder is held on by threads and your in agony in the corner when you have time to reflect on the pain. You safe yourself to fight another day. That's what geale did against ggg. He got a nice payday of cotto and now he can fight in the lower teir.

Geale and Monroe Jr, I'd understand. But Tor Hamer? He quit when he was losing, he quit when he was winning, he quit when he wasn't taking any serious punishment. That guy should've just chosen a different profession.

Edit: Apparently I can't delete one, sorry.
