Dont know if he has any fights lined up, but after his comeback win an impressive display against Rudenko would love to see him kick on he does'nt have the hype of AJ but his record is on par if not better.
As long as its someone with ambition like his last fight and thats what they are aiming for. They dont want opponents with losses or rather lots of losses. They want people who think they can win and use Hughies name recognition. Hopefully they sort someone soon. I see on Peter Furys twitter they are asking lots of different names but most wanting too much. Think they will have to go with someone who isnt recognised.
Top 15 decent opponent? What is that supposed to mean? :blood An opponent from the top 15 that doesn't belong there, or maybe a domestic top 15 guy that's supposed to be somewhat decent?
A top 15 ranked opponent with one of the sanctioning bodies. Which actually wouldn't be much of a step up from Rudenko.
Wouldn't be much of a step up? The kid is 20 years old, has had an injury which kept him out for best part of a year & is 15 - 0 after fighting Rudenko. His fighting record with that fight alone is better than that of AJ , Whyte & Price... He didn't play silly kippers with his comeback, as so many do.. As for injury prone, he's a kid in a mans sport - putting a lot of strain on a young body, he's doing right to slow it down & grow naturally. He's got all the time in the world.
Channel 5 boxing is ****e. They don't even show his fights live which is bad enough and then only showed highlights of his last fight. It would be fair enough if it was vs a journeyman but him vs Rudenko was a real fight. If he wants a top 15 opponent he should get himself over to BoxNation. Hennessey is doing **** all for him.
thats because mick hennessy is a fat chancer waiting to have a heart attack or a blood vessel rupture
hughie fury has plenty of time to become a serious force and he will do just that. devastating body puncher
I really think Hughie Fury is a dark horse in the heavy-weight division in the years to come, his style is really pleasing on the eye which cannot be said for most heavy-weights - he's great to watch IMO...
