Fair point, I forget the lad is 20 sometimes. Michael Grant has been mentioned for his next fight which wouldn't accomplish much on both sides. Kevin Johnson?
In defence of Channel Five the undercard for Saturday's card is being shown on Spike TV so hopefully that will carry on going forward.
Stick him in with ustinov, I reckon he could pull it off! Would get a few heads turning with that victory
Really! Why? What has Ustinov done? Rudenko is a better win than Ustinov would be. In fact, Rudenko beats Ustinov.
Well tbh, I'd rate Grant as worthwhile as Johnson was, in that we don't really know what he's got as he's not been involved in anything for a good while. But, he's a wily old fella with a lot of ring craft & he's a big unit who can whack, so will give hughie something to think about. No point in a Johnson line up, for two reasons - first is that everyone will rate Hughie as rubbish unless he does same type job as AJ & and second... Johnson is blatantly coming to lie down now, so nothing to learn from him I'm afraid.
He's 20 years old and has bags of time on his side. Bags of potential and gets top class sparring week in week out.
Lad has ages yet 20 years old. Over coming serious illness already had 15 fights. He can take his time grow in to being a proper fighter. A faded tuff guy like Sherman Williams would be decent. Hell bring Hammer back over and get beat up by another Fury
Hammer isn't a bad shout although Mick may be wary of sticking him so soon after Tyson beat him. We should know soon.
Regardless of Hughies age I don't think he's going to go anywhere. The Rudenko fight was terrible no wonder ch5 decided not to show it he has no power and all he seems to do is hold on the minute he fights a real puncher then it will be all over. Shame he seems a nice kid
There is also Young King Fury who fought tonight. His real name is also Hughie. He is Tysons you ger brother. There is Tommy Fury a promising light heavy amateur who will also no doubt turn pro. They are a fighting breed thats for sure!
