Alright I'm about to compare Morales' and Mayweather's top 10 performances. I said performances and not wins because I respect close losses to ATG fighters. A close loss against prime MAB to me is not a disgrace, it is an accomplishment. So what I find is that Morales has a more top heavy resume and Mayweather has more depth.

The depth advantage that Floyd has over Erik is in large part due to Morales' burn out at such a young age. However, I'm not going to give any allowances for that. Such is life. Like I give Floyd no allowances for not facing a prime ATG. The fact that Floyd has a deeper resume than Erik in large part because Erik was washed up early. It just the way it goes. No excuses.

    Here we go.

    Erik's top 10 performances.

    1. Pacquiao 1 (already explained)
    2. Barrera 2. I feel like Erik was robbed in this fight. He won a close one in my opinion
    3. Barrera 1. I feel like Barrera won the fight, but Erik was given the decision. Either way it was a great performance by Morales.
    4. Barrera 3. I think Barrera got a deserved decision. It was a close fight, but Morales' slow start sealed his fate on the cards. I do think that Morales would have stopped Barrera had it gone 15 rounds. Marco was gassed at the end.
    5. Junior Jones. Morales pummeled the man who outclassed a green Barrera. Was Barrera at his peak during the Jones' losses? No, but he was still formidable. As was Jones when Morales beat him.
    6. Paulie Ayala. Morales was dominant throughout the fight and went for the knockout in the 12th throwing over 100 punches and showing unreal stamina. Though he was dominant in the fight Ayala is nowhere near a great fighter. It's at this point we are starting to see a noticeable dropoff in Erik's resume.
    7. Chavez. Chavez was good, but not great. He really rocked Erik in the first round bad. But Morales shook it off showing heart and chin and then put an early beatdown on Chavez en rout to a decision.
    8. McCullough. Though Wayne was easily dispatched by Hamed this man was still a decent fighter. Morales won with a comfortable and comprehensive decision.
    9. Espadas Jr. 2. Morales avenged one of the worst performances of his career when he an unimpressive win against Espadas two years earlier. He does what a great fighter should do. He destroyed someone who shouldn't have given him an earlier tough fight.
    10. Hernandez Simply an outclassing of a meh fighter.

    Floyd's top 10 performances

    1. Corrales Though in retrospect we now know that Corrales was overrated and not an ATG. He was still an exceptional fighter. He was the man at 130 and many thought he would beat Floyd. He was weight drained, but to me that makes little difference. Floyd totally outclassed him. At 135 I still give Corrales little chance. Floyd was just too good.
    2. JLC 2 While Corrales was his best performance this was Floyd's best moment. He showed that he wasn't all fluff. He got in there and outclassed somebody who in all seriousness may very well have beaten in his last fight. And JLC was a very good fighter.
    3. JLC 1 One of the rare times Floyd showed real heart. He beat a very good fighter and fought through a shoulder problem in a close fight. It really doesn't matter who you think won the fight. It was a good performance by Floyd.
    4. Cotto Here Floyd showed good chin beating yes a prime Cotto. He was the smaller and physically weaker fighter, but Floyd managed to pull it out and get the decision.
    5. Canelo. At 22 he was probably green. He's a slow plodder without much stamina. Nowhere near a great fighter, but he's still very good. A total outclassing by a fighter who's in another league.
    6. Hernandez. He was neither totally in his prime nor a great fighter, but still a very good win for such a young and green fighter himself in Floyd.
    7. Hatton. Ricky had a good style to beat Floyd, but Mayweather was just too good. The idiot get trying to hug him and Floyd devastated him with the left hook. Goodnight.
    8. Gatti. Although Gatti wasn't that great of a fighter and he was shot this was still a very solid performance by Mayweather. I was in awe at the footwork, the precision, the speed, the technical aspects of Floyd's game. H2H this is the best I've ever seen Floyd. Although part of me wonders if it's because Gatti had no pulse.
    9. Manny Pacquiao. Manny wasn't even close to his prime. Had gotten KTFO. Many wars. Blown up in weight. Etc. This is by far the best fighter Floyd ever fought, but he wasn't even close to his peak. Still a decent performance by Floyd. Boring, but decent.
    10. Judah. He was a fast slick southpaw. He troubled Floyd early, but Judah like always gassed and Floyd's skill reigned supreme.

There you have it. Far from perfect, but I gave it my best shot.

All in all I truly believe Morales to be greater after looking at their top 10 performances.

I didn't copy and paste. Zaragoza was an old man during the Erik knockout.

    He had no pulse then.

I thought Morales had a better showing than Floyd when they fought Chavez.

For what it's worth (probably a lot). They fought different hernandez's.

You are right. He did fight Carlos after the Corrales fight. I haven't seen that fight.
