You mean like a boxing club with members, or just a home boxing gym?

Nobody can answer that with zero information on what you're aiming to achieve.

Get a short 40 pound water bag for guys, especially newbies, to hit with jabs and other straight punches. Don't go for super heavy bags because they beat guys into bad technique.

    Where?

A new Ring can cost over $20,000. If you want to open up a gym, you'll need a janitor ( Unless you are doing it ) , equipment, and a trainer.

All you need is one chicken and a tennis ball. If you have the money...two chickens.

Have you ever boxed in your life? Been in a boxing gym?

If no - why do you want to commit to something you have no experience with, and don't even know that you will enjoy?

If yes - you should already know what basic equipment boxers need and can do a basic internet search to find out the cost of equipment.

I don't mean to sound rude, or blunt - but if you're on an internet forum asking such a vague question - we have to wonder how serious, or knowledgeable you are about boxing.

Again, I hate to sound rude - but how old are you? Anyone who's half serious about this would be going about this a little more methodically than asking strangers on a forum.

slightly concerned here.. you are aiming to start a proper boxing club, not a home gym, which means essentially you will be the trainer right? the man who is going to be training guys to do an extremely dangerous sport that if done in the wrong way can see them badly hurt... lets over look the equipment issue here do you even have the right skills to be training people? do you know how to be a good padman with the right positioning (not some of the backwards divvy positioning some of these white collar trainers have) do you know how to teach correct footwork and defense and everything else? but coming back to the equipment question if you want to start your own gym i think its obvious what you need for a gym if you are clued up on boxing surely?
