So, I saw the new MGM Arena being built! It is going to look like this. . . http://storage.lfpress.com/v1/dynam...L.jpg?quality=80&size=650x&stmp=1418413155506

The wood on either side is there, but the front still has a lot of work. It looks really cool though!

A lot of the Vegan's that I talked to said that Mayweather is having his 50-0 fight there. I think most are in consensus that September isn't his last fight.

I talked to someone who works at the MGM and apparently helped with Floyd's fights for the past 14 years as security. He believes Mayweather will fight Khan and then will open the new arena with a Canelo rematch.

Obviously, I don't think this is possible. Canelo/Cotto is happening in October. Gennady Golovkin said he'll only allow them a pass at the mandatory defense if he gets a contractual agreement saying he will weill get whoever wins that fight. (which would take place close to the spring.)

So, since Mayweather can't get the winner, he obviously won't get the loser either because it would be a horrible sell.

With Canelo and Cotto out of the picture, who will Mayweather fight for his 50-0? I say a Pacquiao rematch is most likely. Arum said in an interview yesterday that if a rematch happens, it'll most likely be immediately off of rehab and sometime next spring. It fits, but Idk. Brook is possible, but he's unknown in the U.S. Marquez is on retirement and still recovering from his injury. Thurman, perhaps, but still isn't a big name yet.

I feel Mayweather will want a big name with him when it comes to opening the new MGM Arena and for his 50-0.

It'll be DSG, Broner (if he beats Porter) or Bradley.

Bradley is on a serious decline, and I don't think that's happening. He was already beat twice (let's be real) by Pacquiao. What's the point? Broner... it's possible. But idk if Mayweather would be up for that. Broner is like one of his closest friends. Once again, I feel like Mayweather will want someone big (like a Canelo, Cotto, Golovkin, or Pacquiao) for his 50-0 and the new arena. It seats 20,000+ so he'll want a big draw...especially after he gets back his PPV numbers he got with Khan

I talked to a taxi cab driver and he thinks it'll be Khan and then Pacquiao again. And I quote, "And I think Pacquiao will kick his a** the second time healthy." Lol

The dude is the biggest name in boxing. You'll see threads on him now and after he retires. Might as well get used to it:roll:

I'm just trying to ignore the possibility of a Pac rematch. I can't deal with all the build up and nonsense and then ultimately, let down.

Of anyone else 140-147 it'll be Bradley/Broner/DSG. Book it :deal

Of the guys listed, Broner is the only one that's a) fighting good opposition and b) actually winning.

    More so than Bradley? :huh

Broner's last 3 wins have been over Carlos Molina, Emmanuel Taylor and John Molina Jr. and he lost to Maidana in the fight before that streak. Bradley has beaten Ruslan, JMM, and should have beaten Chavez if not for a sh*tty decision in that same time period with a loss to Pac.

I would argue that all 3 of Bradley's wins are more impressive than Broner's corresponding wins and the loss is not as bad...

There's no way in hell a Khan-Mayweather fight is gonna make big numbers on PPV or even sell out the new stadium. A Khan-Mayweather fight would be nothing but glorified sparring for Floyd.

I say Floyd should think big and bring in a big name for the special occasion.
A Pacman rematch could do that. Cotto-Mayweather 2 could also work. Also Thurman or Brook.

Honestly, even with DSG taking the Salka fight, Broner still has the worst competition in his last 4 fights of all 3 guys. I would argue by quite a margin...

    Broner:
    Maidana
    Carlos Molina
    Taylor
    John Molina Jr.

    DSG:
    Lucas
    Herrera
    SALKA
    Lamont

    Bradley:
    Ruslan
    JMM
    Pac
    Chavez

Would you care to explain why you asked me if Floyd had fought Bradley before? :huh

I was just curious. I figured if Bradley beat Pacman before, what if Bradley got a shot at Money Mayweather.
