This is exactly why Lara and Rigo have no fan base. Yes, they are supremely skilled but when it's obvious they can finish their opponents anytime they want too but refuses to do so, that completely turns off fans. Even Floyd was an exciting fighter in his younger days and got rid of guys when he knew he could get rid of them.

    Haymon. Listen, buddy.

You have time-buy deals for all your PBC cards on all these various networks, right? That means you (not the network) have carte blanche say on what commercials there are during your broadcasts.

ENOUGH with advertising junk like Kimbo vs. Shamrock on a boxing card. Exposing the sport to a broader audience is great, but having the lines blurred for the mainstream public between this sport and that gay fad isn't. :nono

Wow. Harbinger of the wheels coming off the hype wagon?

Johnson isn't great and was on very short notice.

Is boxing the only sport that fans boo if they see more of it?

Can't think of many others that applies directly to.

And that's why Lara doesn't take risks. The first risk he takes, he gets his hard.

Make it a smaller ring and nobody will boo anymore.

People don't want to see a guy playing tag.

At the root of this is a fight.

Boxing was a way where you know...uh, you whup someone's ass.

Ain't no ass whippin happinin here.

    Round 11

Lara throwing straight jabs and combos drops Delvin but the ref called it a slip, Delvin lands one of two decent head snapping right hands on Lara, but still easy round for Lara.

    Lara 10-9

Borderline call there. Rodriguez went down from the force of the left hand, even though he blocked it.

The positioning of their feet there is a negligible issue.

Kovalev and even Fonfara may be trouble for him, as I've suspected for a while now.

I know what Rod is thinking. "Thank God Lara didn't push the gas." Cause Lara could've gotten him out of there anytime after round 2.

"Listen, I paid good money to watch this and now I want as little time value for that money as possible. Got it?"

he was merely tough, and Beterbiev did next to nothing in the 6th when he had Johnson almost out in the 5th

People go there to watch a fight.

    It's the nature of things.

    History shows this.

If that wasn't the case, fencing would be a huge sport.

Nobody wants to see that bull****.
