    154lb, right now.

Antonio Tarver was hedging on a pick, and said he is skeptical of whether Lara can actually beat Mayweather, but did say that Lara is the only man in his weight range that could, if not outbox him, at least match his wits in the ring.

He's a top boxer, but again, he's not on Mayweather's level.

They're roughly the same size, but Lara would have a small reach advantage - which might make things a bit more interesting. That said, I go back to my initial point that he's just not quite on that level.

There are some massively interesting fights out there for him though. Can't see Cotto coming within 100 miles of him, but GGG would be an awesome fight.

Lara is not a KO artist and there's no outpointing Floyd on the cards in Vegas regardless of who wins in the ring, so this can be a very pointless fight.

Not quite the same level, but prime, and Floyd isn't - enough to cover the spread? :think

    :think

First to be clear I think there's 0/ZERO chance of this happening,

I'd pick Lara by MD or UD.

A younger Floyd would UD Lara though.

Looks like Lara v Trout, but with Lara playing the part of Trout

No, but he'd put on a clinic against Lara.

Not yet, no. Lara's output isn't high enough to beat even this version of Floyd, I don't think.

It would be an interesting fight to score, right enough.

I think Floyd is worse for Lara than GGG. What is he gonna do when he can't match with his opponents footwork and pace?

Lara couldn't outbox Canelo, how would he outbox Floyd?

It would be Lara-Trout :zzz inducing, but I think Lara would win and be robbed brutally on the scorecards.

The same reason Floyd barely outboxed Maidana in their first fight. Styles make fights. Lara is a bad style for Floyd, Canelo was a bad style for Lara.

I dont see Floyd pulling a clinic on Lara, Floyd does not have the ability to control him with aggression or massively out quick or out time him at this stage.

Floyd got hit by Cotto's jab plenty, and would get hit more by Lara's jab. At this stage, I think its a pretty even fight. Lara is one guy Floyd would have trouble countering effectively.

I think it would be a close fight worth watching. I had previously said I wouldnt buy any more Floyd fights unless it was GGG, but Lara still looking sharp so on second thought... I'd probably buy a Lara fight as well.
