Hello friends hows it going. I am a Muslim I follow the religion of Islam. We muslims fast once a year for a whole month which means no food or water from Sunrise to sundawn. I dont know How I will be training I know amir khan does not train or trains light. Any advice in staying shape I know I will still count calories and I will avoid fry foods I want to maintain and continue to improve my cardio and conditioning anyone here a muslim also will appreciate any help
It will be difficult to train cardio/boxing during Ramadan. Best to do weights after taraweeh prayers, compound lifts only. Just make sure diet is clean and resume training properly after Ramadan.
Shadow boxing. Accurate, not too intense, no need too much space nor time. A good chance to not lose technique, keep your cardio and try new things (combinations, footwork and defense).
Low intensity cardio in a fasted state up regulates aerobic enzymes. High intensity exercise needs to be fueled but it's probably ideal to train low intensity in a fasted state.
I would keep away from cardio, remember these are 19 hour plus fasts. Cardio in that state will kill you Just stick to weights after Taraweeh prayers.
I know next to nothing about Ramadhan ... but I'd suggest looking for things you do in your daily routine that aren't training but could be used to keep up cardio. If there are places close you normally drive to ... walk. (Or jog if that's allowed.) That sort of thing. Examine your daily routine and look for opportunities.
Change your timing and look into intetmittent fasting. up ur protei n intake. excellent month for cutting and getting into shape. do sprints.
What this guy above said. You dont need advice from a muslim.A Ramadan esque diet is nothing special. As long as you dont get gluttonous and eat 5 plates in the evening/morning you are essentially employing an intermittent fasting diet. Very popular for body building, dropping body fat, and overall weight control. Some fitness fanatics are actually on an intermittent fasting diet ALL YEAR ROUND so in terms of exercise you can pretty much do anything and everything. NO excuse. In terms of Khan not having a camp during ramadan. You're not a pro athlete. You don't push your body to the limits like a boxer does in camp. Therefore different rules apply. Yes Khan isnt in camp but his "light training" is probably still harder than most people normally train. He might be taking time off to heal injuries also. Point is forget about his training regimen - it's just not applicable to you.
Dead serious. No religion, no conflicts over training in a certain time period. :good Boom, problem solved. Apostasy now!!!
