Lara should just move up to 160 and become his mandatory.

Lara had a chance to open the door to big fights but instead failed to shine...

GGG is the worst possible style match-up for Lara. I give props to Lara for calling him out at 160, and if GGG cannot get a unification or Froch fight then sure, stick him in with Lara.

But it wont go well for Lara. Golovkin is not the type to let Lara control the pace, cuts the ring far better than Canelo or Angulo, and will likely land a crushing body shot that visibly wilts Lara the 3rd or 4th time Lara throws a straight left.

He's too negative a fighter like Floyd. But Floyd is A side and gets fighters a payday. No reason to fight Lara.

Danny Jacobs would be an in house fight for them to make.
Lara would be 1 win away from becoming WBA mandatory at 160 and they could force purse bids.
Win bids and get the fight on a PBC network n GGG would have to fight or vacate.
If he's not allowed to fight on HBO, then that's his best chance at getting this fight he supposedly wants.
These are real things that exist but idiots call them "excuses":rofl

Golovkin would knock Lara out!!! Lara can't punch at 154, he would have totally nothing at 160, Golovkin would break his arms, remember, Golovkin can box also, only he punches much harder...............Lara could not even beat Alvarez.....

Lara could give him a lot of trouble but ultimately his lack of punching power and serious probable lack of punch resistance would do him in. He's a solid fighter but nothing special.

I should imagine that the main reasons that GGG is not fighting Lara are that there is little kudos or money to be gained from fighting an unpopular career light-middleweight. I should imagine that if Lara had (a) a fan-base (b) sufficient reputation that a win would have meaning to the casuals, then the fight would be made. Until then, it seems to me that Lara is just trying desperately to get cheap publicity, rather than GGG is ducking him. GGG simply has better things to do with the limited time he has left in the game.

Ya, cause a guy who gets knocked down 3 times against angulo is a good fight for GGG. He would only go down once against GGG.

I would still like to see the fight.

I'd say the main reason is because Lara can't just go fight on HBO if he wants to.

GGG doesn't want it with a superior boxer.

Lara would box his ears off.

jacobs and lara wouldn't fight each other....no reason to when the money guy is ggg and they both think they could beat ggg.

ggg is too easy to hit and outbox....murray showed that. even monroe with his lack of power and undeveloped counterpunching style gave ggg troube.

and if if lara could outbox canelo over 12, he'll easily outbox ggg over 12.

you mean by outboxing canelo lara "failed to shine'? at least lara has FACED canelo who is one of the top 10 pfp guys around. who has ggg faced?....willie monroe and danny geale? ggg won't even take an andre ward fight....and ward has been inactive in like forever.
