It's a combination between Haymon and his level of opostion. Beterbiev is a 10 fights prospect that already fought and ex-champion and ex-title challenger. Guerrero and Maidana have fought some of the best fighters out there including Floyd. Some people will hate a fighter for the color of his skin some will find other a bit more logical reasons. Hating a fighter that you know only from watching on television is completely wrong in general. You can not summarize that any afro-American champ will be hated, the proof is in the fact that Tyson and SRL were beloved just to name a few.

Very few white fighters were relevant when SRL and Tyson were fighting. Its not like people had an option on whom to cheer for. When a white fighter emerged on the scene, whoever the black at the top at that moment became too polarized to the majority. See larry holmes vs gerry ****ey.

This racism argument is really annoying and uncalled for when used with absolutely no basis whatsoever.

Larry was hated for beating the beloved Ali. I don't think that Joe Luis become hated when Marciano become a force for example.

It has nothing to do with race, it's got more to do with the fact that he's a threat to Wlad/Povetkin, who seem to get most of the love on this site.

It has to do with the fact that he's being labelled as the next Tyson.

Any sort of slipup will lead to unjustified criticism.

That's the biggest reason. Everyone claims he's the next Tyson.

He is supposed to be a world champion and for a guy that hasn't really fought anyone of note, maybe except for Stiverne, who isn't really special. He sure talks a lot of sh*t. He is the only other world champion other than Wladimir, yet there is around 15-20 other fighters that has fought better opponents than Stiverne.
