The point is that Fury is going to make a fight of it. He's going to come for Wlad at some point. At those points, he'll either get Wlad, or more likely, get butchered. It's not going to be a 9-3 type deal, i'd be surprised to ehar the bell actually.
Jennings stood there with a high guard and dipped his waist back and forth/ side to side. That was his style. If Wlad can't butcher that simple style - he isn't going to butcher Furys more multi dimensional style
Maybe Fury will circle around and peck away at him from the outside. We've seen Wlads ceiling. We haven't seen Furys. Ive never seen Wlad beat a guy with the fleet of foot of Fury.
Your record on picking Wlad's fights, would make Bill Brennan feel better about his series with Harry Greb!
Wlad's name is already mentioned with Louis, Holmes and Lewis. But he still sees out the best, and has remained on top at an older age than all three of them. And he still seeks out the best
I always felt Wilder would beat Fury but after last night I would pick Fury. Wlad is going to defeat Fury more easily than many think.
What does that say about his greatness level - that he never beat somebody he was meant to lose to. Greatness isn't beating people you are fully expected to beat. I guess Wlad isn't that great.
http://www.boxingforum24.com/poll.php?do=showresults&pollid=22076 And rightfully so. He proved he was barely good enough to beat the awful Peter.
If nobody picks anyone to beat you over eight years or so you're great by everyone's standards -- and to top it off, you don't let them down. Wlad is great. People will complain about anything. He holds too much, he doesn't fight like Tyson, all true but he is a champion who has faced near everyone he should have, when he should have, and has won decisively each time, for a long period of time in a division where one punch can take your head off. Why does he have to be fifteen years retired to be appreciated? It's like with dead painters, ridiculous. It happened with Lennox Lewis, now this. The man is 40 years old and still taking on all comers, and a landslide favorite. He is one of the great fighters of our time in the marquee division. As with Floyd, you'll miss him once he's gone, and you'll love him when (if) he's lost.
It hasn't been the marquee division in 15 years. It became a farce with top fighters of zero talent. Wlad still never looked good amongst them all. I know people who stopped watching boxing because of how poor it became.
