2 shows in belfast on 1st august... a malta show with tommy tolan and co... plus pat magee running a show with tommy mccarthy headlining:think:think... strange:good:good
Well it continues the trend of Irish lads turning over which is good. But once again it's with a foreign, far-away outfit. Not here or even in Britain......hmmmm????
European games boxing starting next week and i think the irish team is going to do some real damage out there, Billy walsh was interviewed and said it was a very young and inexpierenced team but a very talented one and i agree, Irvine,Casey and Walker are inexpierenced at this level but will very hard to beat, each are class boxers and will go in with no baggage i think all three will take beating, Mc comb,o reilly and walsh have tasted this type of comp before and are top class fighters who will expect to medal,o reilly might go,all the way, Nolan and O Neil have been there and done that and we know can beat the best,(o neil might be too small for heavyweight though) Big breakfast could be the darkhorse if the team i think, big big man and has skills aswell, def one to watch Of the ladies walsh and taylor will be looking for gold anything else would be in their eyes dissapointing,Smith is skillfull but im not sure about her at international level,What do ye think? Boxing starts tuesday,:happy:happy:happy
(Depending on the draw) I would think McComb and O'Reilly are shoo-ins for medals. Would be confident on Walsh and Nolan too. Then Irvine and Walker both have the underage pedigree and it'll be interesting to see how they get on in their first senior international tournament. For the women, Taylor obviously and Walsh too - pushed Adams all the way at the Commonwealths last year

Looks like BJS v Lee is on for Sept 5th. I'd be amazed if Andys run of luck doesn't come to an end that night. Formality for BJS. Doubt Andy wins a round, at least not decisively anyway.
After what we have seen from andy lately. The shootout with quillin having been dropped and come back was very good, but peter gave that fight away. Getting slightly beaten by korobov before landing the Hail Mary of all punches and getting beaten up by Jackson before doing the same. I think Saunders is going to be too quick of foot and fist very elusive and he isn't going to go in a 1 punch shootout with lee, he's going to win the rounds and dance around. Lee won't have any success trying to walk Saunders down either.
I bet you're one of those who fought Eubanks had Saunders on ***** Street. Saunders has an iron jaw. Fact.
