Adam Booth is one of the best trainers around, but had no pro experience. Fought as an amateur and I believe he's previously said he would've turned pro but broke his leg playing football... and that was the end of that. He then started doing personal training, doing conditioning work with fighters at his old gym along with pad work. He was then introduced to a young David Haye.... and the rest is history.
i think even William will chuckle at that.. same thing happens in football, the best managers/coaches rarely played at a high level....im not even sure if Mourinho has ever kicked a ball
