This would be the kind of career defining fight for Klitschko that we would all love to see. Frazier would push him like no one he's faced. Emanuel Steward trained a well oiled machine built for his division. Frazier is the aberration, in that he'll crowd past Klitschko's jab and force him to in-fight. I suspect Klit has an uppercut and he'll be forced to employ it here. My heart is with Frazier (huge Frazier fan growing up) but my head says Klitschko by decision.

That had a lot to due with styles, and Ali's layoff. Ali looked pretty poor vs Bonevena despite the 15th round KO. In hindsight, Frazier was going to win that one. Ali later became more of a counter puncher and clincher.

If Frazier and Povetkin fought and Frazier won, it's likely Frazier's second or third best win.

If not for Wlad, Povetkin is the champion, and would be for a while. He's hardly nothing, and would cream those light punching and small heavies that Fraizer feasted on too.

Not interested in a quick boxrec check. I know what i saw. A man desperately needing to cheat and foul his way to victory cos he hadn't the skills needed.

200 pound Marco Huck stood up to Povetkin and out boxed him more convincingly than Wlad did. He stood toe-to-toe with him without a care in the world and almost had him out with nothing but his two mits.

Why was 245 pound 6'6 foot Wlad terrified of Povetkin and felt he had to back hump the life out of him every 5 seconds?

Povetkin beat exactly who to be even spoke with on a level of Joe Frazier? Until he proves otherwise Povetkin is indeed a nothing in comparison.

If we're talking about the FOTC Frazier then it's a different story altogether. That Frazier was ccmpletely different from the one who was trounced by Foreman. Vlad isn't walking all over that version of Joe...if he's beating him at all. Vlads hands are nowhere as fast as Ali's of 71 were and Joe's bobbing and weaving would present a difficult target for Vlad to land consistently and cleanly on. Plus Frazier would be on the attack constantly, winging shots to the body and head all night long not giving Vlad a breather. Vlad is going to have to fight hard 3 mins a round against Joe and take a beating to the body all the while. If Vlad can hold him off and keep the fight at a distance he can win but this version of Frazier would the type of fighter that he is not accustomed to meeting. He simply has not met a fighter of this calibre/quality while Joe has. Not a rap on Vlad btw...he can only fight who's out there and he's a quality fighter but Frazier would be a different kind of animal altogether.

If you don't admire Joe Frazier there must be something wrong with you. But there is no way he beats the version of VK we have seen for the last decade. Too big, too strong, hits too hard, and too good at employing his spoiling tactics when the need arises.

The advantage Joe had was something you can't learn. Tremendous will to win, courage and killer instinct. Prime Frazier would be a tough opponent for anyone.

I'd go for Joe Frazier and I'm thinking on points or mid late stoppage.

Joe Frazier gets very underrated on this forum.

One solid hook by Frazier and the fights over. That is for sure.

I guess it depend on which Klitchko shows up. If its' the pre 2005 Klitchko Joe destroys him in a few brutal rounds. If it's the later Klitchko that learned to fight maximizing his physical advantages, He could possibly win a boring decision over Joe. But Joe would be a handfull for even the best version of Klitchko and could possibly ko the best version. One thing is sure, he's not knocking prime Frazier out.

At some point in time Wlad will get hit with the Frazier hook. I don't see him taking it and not being koed. We know Frazier was super tough. We know Wlad is not very tough at all.

Gotta go with Vlad. I love Joe, but despite what many people on here say, size does matter. I question whether Joe would ever be able to land a hook to the head in this fight and even if he did, having to reach up like that takes a lot of power out of a punch.
