That's all down to entertainment value. Being charismatic and entertaining and being great are two seperate things -- one concerns capability, the others marketability and salesmanship.

Too bad they all don't know someone they can say the same about.

Im actually liking the way Wladmir is fighting lately. Hes doing less moving around and more fighting although hes not looking all that coordinated when he tries to rumble. He held terribly against Povetkin but the other two fights in between he looked pretty good. I think hes ripe for the taking. Hes going to go down in a heap again soon, but it wont be Tyson Fury. I think Wilder has the best chance, but hes gotta fix his defense and footwork. He looked very amatuerish this past weekend.

There has been a lot of talk about Wlad's expiration date. I'm here to say he's still very formidable.

His brother who had multiple leg, back and shoulder injuries was still on top at age 41. Wlad has not had any major injuries, nor has he been punished in the ring. He's in great shape even when he's inactive, and has the style that ages the best.

The first thing to go on a fighter is usually his legs. Wlad moved like a big Jim Corbett in his last fight with Jennings. His stamina was also excellent which is something older fighters usually lack.

Simply stated, Wlad can be champion for at least two more title fights., and if he wants to press on, he can past age 40.

    Thoughtful, lucid post. Well done.

I would like to see Wlad win the WBC strap and retire on top. He's 39 and time waits for no man. I would like him to join Lennox Lewis as one of the few heavyweights champs that knew when to call it a career.
