    Discuss.

Audley was a gold medalist and always tries in his fights. Just hasn't gotten it.

Never really gave him a chance.

He's one of the good guys of boxing, humble and very nice.

I think the biggest problem with his career was that he was afraid that everything he worked for would go to **** if he got knocked out. That's why he was afraid to engage in fear of getting knocked cold.

Maybe they always knew he never had what it takes to make a solid pro boxer.

Watching Audley was like watching Smeagol. Unfortunately the 'terrified of getting hit' side of him manifested itself more often than not.

His chin was too good. We like the vulnerable warrior types.

No, just want to know why he's not loved AT ALL. It's not like he has a bad personality and turns people off. He's actually a good guy.

He might not be one of the best boxers but he showed much promise in the Olympics.

I think the biggest problem with his career was that he was afraid that everything he worked for would go to **** if he got knocked out. That's why he was afraid to engage in fear of getting knocked cold.

That was probably his biggest issue.

He's an extremely nice guy though.

He, like Khan, did a lot of talking that he simply failed to live up to. Once that happens you lose credibility and the trust of the fans, I like Audley, top bloke but it made me cringe every time he spoke about his last attempt at a world title.

What else was he supposed to say though?

As a professional and someone who still aspires to accomplish something, it was a path he had to take, and he had to promote it like he did.

Nothing he said was cringeworthy to me, it was just a little sad.

His mental state weakened throughout the years and his body always certainly gave out on him. :-(
