I know...it's amazing the lack of faith the British fans have in BJS....after all he is one of their own! .they don't have much time for him it seems???:huh
That's just a myth thought if we're honest. The only two glimmers of "world class" boxing I've ever seen from Lee were the rematch against Vera and the first few rounds against Chavez Jr. Interestingly BOTH those career-best performances came under Manny Steward --- which brings us to the second great myth about Andy Lee, that he is a "much improved" fighter under Booth. The truth of the matter is that Andy never was, and is not now, a world-class boxer. The truth about Andy is that he plateaued YEARS ago, at a level well below world class. The truth about Andy is that he "peaked" under Manny Steward not Adam Booth. Andy is not that great. He has never managed to overcome the huge number of fatal flaws and shortcomings in his game. But in true Irish tradition his fans ignore all this. That's all well and good, but andy is the one taking the punches. Andy is a great guy, but he is not a great boxer. In fact ,as Fra said, (hi Fra...:hi I believe he should have called it a day years ago, for his own good. I was right then, and I'm right now. Nothing that I've seen from him recently has caused me to change my mind. BJS is a light puncher, so fighting him presents no great risk to Andy...certainly no worse than any of his other fights, so he might as well go ahead and take ths BJS fight at this stage and bank some change. If BJS skips training, there is an outside chance he could gas and lose to Andy. Then Andy gets "rewarded" with a GGG fight. We all know how that ends, don't we. I don't think that is going to happen though.
Literally half your 4-word reply consists of the word "obvious"....is that a new word you've learned or something....:happy
Going on Boxrec ratings,Eubank is 12(due to the fact that he won the interim title in his last fight, was well outside the top 20 when he fought bjs),blackwell is 23,sullivan is 49 and ryder is 52,i don't know about you but i wouldn't class them as world class or next level boxers.
BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH;;;;;; You think Andy wouldn't win a round against bjs and you also think spike would win easily, you go on to say that Macklin would whip him,i know i'm not the best judge when it comes to boxing but i see a serious trend here, this is turning into a fools day joke in June, even bjs own people don't give him a chance. We have the World champ and some of our own people are not giving him the credit he deserves, its like the team being beat 5 nil and the losing supporters saying that 3 of the goals were offside and the ref.was a joke. As Roy Keane once said;Opinions are like ****holes!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad you mentioned Macklin, Dutchie. There is another English-born n reared, Irish middleweight who has been in any number of exciting fights. Yet he hardly gets a mention on here. And you're right...the Macklin that fought Sergio, Sturm, Asikainan, Moore etc would murder Andy Lee. Absolutely murder him. Can you imagine how easy it would be for Macklin?
Eubank and Spike would have a great chance against Lee. Blackwell would absolutely murder Andy. Andy might beat Ryder alright. :good
I know how u guys r always so happy to hear from me so thought id pass on the article i was reading today in the Tele about Carls upcoming fight http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/s...e-fury-of-mexican-fans-in-texas-31305369.html Interesting read
The only thing interesting is the daytime fight in the summer heat. Remember how Barry came a cropper against Steve Cruz? I'd have expected Team Frampton to cinfine their U.S. Fights to the East Coast, not in summer, and not by day. Is this wise?
If the fight is in Ireland and Lee wins the first round he is going to ko Billy Joe. BJS doesn't have enough experience having to chase a fight. If the fight is in England and Lee has to chase Saunders and Saunders nicks the first round or 2 he has a great chance to beat Lee. However Lee will always be a threat due to his mental strength and punch power. So I favour Lee overall but the location will have a massive impact.
Totally agree with your last line this is a fight that the location will have a huge outcome on the result,
