I'm not disputing your opinion of the verdict,I haven't seen the fight . I'll tell you this though, Folley was not robbed against Cooper in their first fight.
London and Valdes was scored level when London retired with a cut eye.And Richardson and DeJohn1 could have gone either way. So though London and Richardson were Euro level they could occasionally make it difficult for top men.

Valdes was 35 years old and in his last fight when he fought London. He looked past his prime his reflexes were gone...he still carved up londons face so badly that London quit

Richardson got brutally knocked out by Valdes in 8 rounds

London did not retire in the corner. Brian claims on film that the reff stopped it. It's on YouTube. Nino was past his best but he did use his head as a third glove like London says. A Very rough veteran fighter. Quite excitable interview too.

London did retire in his corner...he quit!

    Here is a source

"Cuban Nino Valdes won the companion 10 rounder on the all-heavyweight card when Briton Brian London called it quits after seven rounds. The crowd of 11,000 wasn't happy with the bout, booing, clapping and stamping their feet as London announced he was quitting because of cuts. There were no knockdowns." -Associated Press

And Cleveland Williams heard voices in his head and ran out of a rematch with Richardson, refusing to fight! If Richardson had of been so outclassed he would have been the one running away from the rematch not Williams! instead even though he was decked Richardson was beginning to work Williams out but got too carried away with his careless use of the head. Williams got himself barred from fighting in the UK for his no show.

Watch the film. Listen to London. He insists it was the reff who stopped it. He also says Patterson would "paralyze" Nino.

Most overrated has to be Williams. No signature wins at elite level and badly knocked out against World champions.

London says the referee stopped it the AP say he retired I don't know.

What is certain is that Valdes was guilty of continual misuse of the head, the referee should have done his job and stopped him from butting.Harry Gibbs would have warned him once then taken a point,if he then persisted he would have slung him out.

:good that's what the film shows.

Valdes did have some stunning wins in the UK but not that time. He was already damaged goods. London was unlucky not to get the win.

It shows Patterson wasn't any better

Patterson was afraid of Williams size power reach and speed just admit it
