Frazier has one big problem here -he is a one handed fighter. The right hand was non existent. In fact I believe it was prosthetic.

These threads are ridiculous. Vlad is too big for him, and holds anytime his opponent gets within 3 feet.

There was a fly on the wall documentary on British TV the other week re visiting the Frazier / Bugner fight in 73 at Earls Court. It showed the before and after, but not the actual fight ( copyright issues I suspect ) and Joe came across as a heavier Marciano. Tree trunk legs and a fat ass. With his upper body nothing to get over excited about.

But what struck me most was how anyone could have Joe's height at almost 6 feet. He walked into the arena and to the dressing room in his white suit and Panama hat with the cameraman directly behind him, and even with the hat on he was not merely 6 inches shorter than the dressing room doorway which was 6' 6" high.

    I'd say Frazier was nearer 5' 10" than 6'.

As justifiably revered as Joe is A+ fighters don't lose 4, and get stopped 3 times by the best fighters they faced, none of which he was capable of reversing, out of a mere 37 fights.

Just leave it with the fact Joe F was rightly a legend.

So Frazier is now the new Marciano.......not one explanation how he would get the job done, he would walk straight in and KO WK.......so this is all about the black hope or in Marciano case, white hope now......carry on.

I recommend you arm chair pistoleros get your skinny or obese bodies away from the net for a couple of hours and walk into a Boxing Gym. pick some 6.5-6.7 dude and have a little sparring.......lets see how you "smoke" when you have to walk thru 6 feet of jab killing zone rinse and repeat....

Lets not forget Wlad had to cancel his fight against Chisora after the sparring wasn't going to plan because the style is all wrong fro him.

Chisora is a poor mans Frazier.

Look how Brewster destroyed Wlad in just 4 rounds with left hooks to the body and head.
Go back to Haye and see how his upper body movement saw him through the fight unhurt.
Frazier was Brewster with Hayes defence and faster , quicker head movement.

Joe wouldn't be slipping shots cos at the speed he came in , he'd only be slipping attempted clinches.
Wlad reaches out to grab which would be timed by Joe. Chin shattering follows.

Wlad Would need what Lewis and Bowe had to beat him.

The same way Foreman did , by learning to pace himself.

He could keep his cool and stay composed cos he had an iron chin.

Wlad ain't ever growing a beard like old Foremans.

I'm not convinced, McVey. Vlad fought like someone with a collapsed lung in his earlier fights; he made Foreman look like Calzaghe! I think Joe would have beat the old Vlad just by virtue of his relentless pressure. The new and improved Vlad is a different proposition.

No he isn't, but that doesn't change why his stamina improved .He threw everything including the kitchen sink at Purity , and ran out of ideas when he didn't fall,in short he gassed out.
