Good call. Easy to forget fighters you only read about and no time recently. From memory he was an alcoholic who was in the bar prior to some of his fights.

Nedal fought several guys who AT SOME POINT were champions. I find it silly to suggest his brother faced better opposition just because he caught his big names while they happened to wear belts.

What happened to the Australian boxing thread? Went the same way as the Aussie forum?

katsidis is a guy I'd want beside me if I were going off to war.

I wish he had beaten casamayor, he was looking so good until the ko.

Laughed when I read the Aussie thread was going to remain here no matter what. 3 days later and it's gone

Same trolls. Same result. Who would have thought :nut

Does it really make any difference?

A sad, but very predictable ending. No other way of looking at it really.

Sad for those who came here to post on Aussie boxing and for those who might have in the future.

Predictable because the same unmoderated trolls who bought about the demise of the Aussie boxing forum have succeeded also in destroying the Aussie boxing thread.

RIP Aussie boxing here. But it lives on elsewhere where moderation ensures serious boxing discussion can take place.

Few people who ever pulled a glove on had more heart than Katsidis.

    Um...

Pong is the best name of the bunch, sure...but you're pretending Harrison, Enoki and especially Larios are not a world class bunch?

Arce was always more of a "tv star" than a real p4p talent. I wouldn't put him leagues ahead of any of the above three.

You really underrate Larios. Average title holder, really? Tell it to Izzy Vazquez or Manny Pacquiao.

Arce grew on me over time but I always found him overrated, in both his prime and his "turning back the clock" years. :conf

Look probably solid enough to rank them over him now...Maybe, I'm not sure. That's why it's always easier to let it fester a while after he had finished.

I don't think he will be adding anything himself personally, if anything another brutal loss to someone he would have smoked in his prime is unfortunately probably not far away. And I won't be counting that against him.

Possibly seeing Mitchell is still relevant and Australia's p4p 16 is still winning, their performances might add a bit meat to the gyro which is Michael's resume.
