    Oh in terms of excitement

    I'd probably go 160>154>147.

    If it ever gets made.

But this fight shouldn't be made for a lot of good reasons. There's still loads of good fighters at 47.

If he can't even make 151, I just don't want to see this.

You must really love rewatching Ali vs Holmes. :|:patsch

    I think you're underestimating Floyd.

I don't really care if Floyd fights GGG, nor do I think he will. I would however buy the fight for sure.

It is really amusing to see how completely discomfited MVC gets at the thought of Floyd stepping in with GGG though. Watching his panicked reaction made the thread worth it. :good

    Discomfited? No way.

I would say the exact same thing if someone suggested Klitschko vs Mayweather.

    It's that ridiculous.

    Wilder vs Pac... Same thing.

Clearly not, given the posts I've already made in this thread, but GGG isn't exactly young and he isn't the fastest guy either. Floyd could get starched but as he ages he becomes just as increasingly vulnerable to 147 guys with high punch output imo. Floyd's stamina and offence are declining substantially, which presents extra problems against the best smaller guys and against the likes of a GGG. I don't think his extra "relative" difficulties, as the arrow of time persists in the face of Floyd's abilities, are necessarily more severe going up than going down (staying the same and continuing to go up against younger guys with fierce punch output).

Floyd is a 147 pounder, I don't see what's so hard to get?

    :patsch

He is not a true 154 pounder and hasn't fought there, he will probably drop that belt very soon.

There are TONS of great fights left at 47 and he should be taking care of those.

Yes, we know all of that, and I never disagreed about there being great fights for him at 147.

Of course. It'd be an amazing fight. There was always this popular belief that someone has to knock out Floyd to win. Well, if anyone would be able to do it, it'd be GGG.

If this fight were to happen at a catchweight it would be unfair to triple g, and floyd is too small for 160 so it would be unfair of him the fight at that weight. I really don't see any way this fight can realistically happen. Unless floyd really wants to challenge himself, and i can't see him doing that this late in his career.

Of course he is small welterweight . Remember he started off at 130 pounds.

And he grew into a welterweight. Not a big welterweight, but not exactly a small one either.
