According to Vladimir Hryunov, the WBA has agreed to reinstall Dmitry Chudinov to the #2 spot and granting him a rematch against Chris Eubank Jr for the WBA's 3rd rated titlebelt.
Reason behind it was the BBBoC's antics leading up to the fight, in wich they had appointed 4 British officials to a fight wich was contracted to have neutral judges and referee and were refusing to change the up to the last moment almost causing the fight to be cancelled.

The issue was finally resolved by using a couple of internationanl undercard judges and bringing in a referee from another card.

Now this was a real soap and all, and I'm not a real Eubank Jr fan to say the least, but a rematch in this case looks a bit dodgy to me.
This wasn't a remotely close fight. The referee and judges did nothing wrong in this one to warrant a rematch

Think it's more that they would of been able to argue that on the night, with all the uncertainty of whether the fight would go ahead, Chudinov was distracted.

Whether that's a cause for the fight being as it was, i doubt it. But you cannot fully disagree that it may of had an effect.

And I'd say it is a blessing in disguise for Eubank, as he isn't ready for the major players at middle & isn't getting the fight with BJS any time soon.. So he gets to defend and win as the "champion" which will help his mindset.

Choo-choo has no chance in a rematch and will just take another beating. He just is too limited for Eubank.whats the point from Chudinovs point of view? I can't see any sense to him fighting Eubank again.

Better than putting Eubank in with garbage like Jarrod Fletcher I suppose

Either way it is good rounds for Eubank

He was supposed to fight Fletcher? Hasn't he been retired for ages? Anyway Chudinov is only slightly better really, frightfully slow with no defense whatsoever, he took a beating in the first fight so who the **** wants to see it again? Would Chudinov even want it again?

What's the relationship between the Chudinovs and the WBA? clearly some massive favouritism going on there

Pretty pointless. Maybe he has a case for it with the distraction lark but there was nothing in that fight to really suggest he's going to win a second time around.

Unless there's something we don't know about the first fight I really can't see the point of this

I agree, They must have good reasons to think they could turn that result around.

I spoke to Dmitry in Frankfurt a few weeks ago and he said that after losing to Eubank both he and his brother changed their coach and began training completely differently. So team Chudinov are pretty confident they will beat Eubank if they can get the rematch.

Mr Hrunov also spoke of how highly he rated the WBA and said that they are "the most honest organisation in the world" so make of that what you will. He clearly favours them over the others.
