Eric molina landed twice as many punches on wilder as delboy and Christian hammer together on fury. I think those 2 would starch molina.
Pretty much spot on from my vantage point! Wilder's left hook did surprise me in his last fight, and not too many people are talking about it. He mostly slaps with it, but it did knock Molina down. It probably had something to do with him hurting the right hand. He could only work on lefts until it healed. Maybe a good thing actually.
Ya know I'm on the fence here, but I keep thinking if Povetkin gets inside it's essentially over. Wilder's outside game is very good, but on the inside he needs lots of work, and he backs up going straight back. If Povetkin has as much success getting inside as Molina(Molina is much taller, so it's not a forgone conclusion) he will KO Wilder in short order. If Wilder finds a way to keep Pov at bay he himself could get a KO. I just have feeling Povetkin will find his way in, and if Wilder just covers up looking for an inside counter with his long arms will get KO'd. He will have to develop new dimensions to his game before he fights Pov if he wants to win IMO. A fight against Glazkov would help too. Similar style, and getting past him would ready Wilder for similar volume punching from a 6 foot tall euro slugger.
Exactly. If you look at WHO he has actually fought, it is pretty obvious that he is a total fraud. His "opposition" is the most pathetic I can recall a touted fighter facing in my 35 years of following boxing - and he faced this level of comp for much longer, his entire career outside of Stiverne. So, in answer to the question - no, not even close. Wilder is a fraud, who is packing pure glass in his mandible. That's why he's fought all these tomato cans - and even some of these no hopers have had this joke on the canvas!
buuuuum squad AJ the future. Stops Stiverne. Stops Wilder. And I initially never liked AJ and still see many flaws in him...but Wilder? :rofl oh god...an accident waiting to happen. I agree Rumsfeld that Molina was pretty game. The Jim Watt British commentary was yet again AWFUL as they couldn't shut the hell up about how Molina wasn't doing anything or trying to take the belt from Wilder however it was clear to me that Molina was just fighting smart and looking for his opportunities.
Yeah, what's happened to our old friend? If he's jumping on the Wilder bandwaggon, I'm worried about him!. It's so obvious that Wilder is a fraud with a glass chin - who has fought no hopers to disguise this and build a phony rep as a "KO artist" - that virtually any keen observer of boxing should be able to see this!
What is going to be hilarious is when Wilder fights Browne, Szpilka, or Duhaupas next and people on here will still defend these opponents and act like Wilder isn't trying to fight the weakest opponents possible. :rofl
Wouldn't shock me. The exact opposite wouldn't shock me, either. I see it as close to 50-50, and an early brutal KO for either man could be in the cards.
